This hotel does not feel like a standard Radisson Blu at all. It operates more like a basic budget hotel. There is no phone in the room, if you need anything you are expected to call the hotel’s landline from your own mobile phone. The housekeeping during my stay was very bad. They did not top up basic amenities in the room like toilet paper or tissue. Because there was no room phone, I actually had to walk all the way down to the reception twice during my stay just to request these basic items. The breakfast was just passable and can be very crowded with not enough tables for guests. Furthermore, they did not recognize my premium member status. There was no offer of a room upgrade, and they even refused a 2-hr late check-out which should be part of premium member benefit. The only saving grace for this place is that it is located just beside the Uppsala train station, which made it easy to catch my trains. Other than the convenient location, the hotel itself was a major disappointment and my worst experience in a Radisson Blu chain.
