Hotel Muisca

Very friendly staff, rooms are very quaint and not typical hotel fare. The photos on hotels.com don't do it justice. Nice accommodations. Breakfast was great but could have more variety for those who are staying for more than a couple days.

We loved our stay at this hotel, most kind and helpful staff and great location.

I really, really enjoyed this hotel. It is unusually but tastefully appointed. This was a business trip, but I added a day because I had never been to Bogotá. I chose he Muisca because of its location in Candaleria. I am so glad I did. Bogotá is fascinating and lovely. This puts you in this historical heart of the city. I felt safe and had no need of a car or public transportation. I walked every place, seemingly always up hill. At the hotel, service was attentive, efficient, polite and even friendly. Breakfast was quite good. The artwork through the hotel and in the room was most enjoyable. I hated going to the business hotel. I recommend comfortable shoes, clothing layering, a bit of Spanish and strong lungs.

Muisca was a very cute hotel. The service was great. They brought coffee to our room for no extra charge and had a great breakfast. My only complaint was that the heater didn't work, but it wasn't that cold in the room. If you are not expecting extravagance, then you will be impressed at Muisca. It was close to a lot of thing in La Candelaria, but if you want to walk around, be prepared to walk a lot of hill. This hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill.

I stayed here for a one-day layover in Bogotá, wanting a taste of the city center unavailable in airport hotels. The taxi ride in took about a half hour and cost about 27,000 Colombian pesos. The hotel building does not stand out from the other colonial style buildings on the block, except for a brightly-painted front. The entrance and halls are narrow, so negotiating with large suitcases or physical challenges could take some time. The rooms are comfortably restored, perhaps a bit chilly, but with all of the typical appointments. My room looked over the interior patio, so I heard no traffic noise, but the entry and exit of other guests did break the silence. Fortunately, most guests made an effort to respect the rest of others. The staff members were invariably friendly and helpful.

The staff was so friendly and accomodating, the decor is beautiful, the whole place was clean and comfortable. Loved the gentle sound of the fountians in the courtyard. Good location close to museums, churches, etc. and good restaurants nearby. A bit of a walk uphill from the main center, but I can always use the exercise.

The hotel was very cute and the staff were pleasant and helpful. But the courtyard amplifies noise (like guests talking at 7am) and there was also a lot of noise above us - constant clicking and clacking and buzzing. So we didn't sleep well. But it was fine for one night and was very close to all of the sights we wanted to see.

A lovely hotel with friendly and very helpful staff. The room was spotlessly clean with soft comfy bed linen, a spacious bathroom and a general feel of homely comfort. Great breakfasts in an open courtyard. The staff were always on hand to give directions, restaurant suggestions and city travel advice. Finally, the hotel looks fantastic on the inside with creative design features at every turn. I would thoroughly recommend the Muisca for any visiting Bogota.

Really cute and very well attended hotel in la Candelaria. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. The hotel is very cozy and cute.
