Intiwasi Hotel

Stayed 3 nights in a queen room. Not a hotel, more a B&B. Room had an ensuite, flat screen TV, air conditioning, WiFi, although I could not connect with my device. A common room computer was also available for internet use. Ensuite was small but functional enough. Shower was hot. Breakfast consisted of tea, coffee, bread, yoghurt and was served in the dining room upstairs. Security seemed good. Key had to be left at front desk when leaving and you had to ring the front door buzzer to be let back in. Location is excellent - close to Providencia shopping precincts, including large mall. Bus stop for hop-on, hop-off tourist bus just down the road. Staff were friendly and attentive but did not impose on privacy. Major negative was noise - able to hear movement from upstairs. Overall a nice little spot for those not requiring the fancy hotel experience.

Great location

I can't say enough good about this property! From the great front desk personnel to the courteous and good looking owner Victoria, the service was first rate. My room was clean, cool during the hot summer days and very comfortable. The front desk welcomed me with a late check-in, (approx 11:30), and a very early departure, (approx 3:30) Such were my travel times... If you want a very pleasant experience in a small, boutique hotel in the Providencia area of Santiago, I highly recommend this fine establishment. Don't miss out!!

We had a wonderful stay here, the staff were always ready to help and went well out of their way for us. The building was lovely and the breakfast was perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better!! ---The Roxbys

My brother and I stayed at the Intiwasi Hotel for two nights earlier this month while on holiday in Chile. Above all other features, the Intiwasi Hotel is in the perfect location: on a quiet, tree lined residential street only two or three short blocks from Avenida Providencia. As others reviewers have noted, the hotel is comfortable - almost like being in someone's home - but perhaps more a hostel than a hotel by Chilean standards. We found the service to be excellent; the staff was happy to engage in conversation, help with directions and offer suggestions. Rooms were simple, clean and quiet - and as promised very affordable. While the Intiwasi exceeded our expectations, the hotel is certainly not for everyone. If you're the type of person (like me) that feels compelled to clear his own breakfast plate and tidy up the table for the next guest you'll feel right at home. If you want to be waited on, there is probably a more expensive hotel a few blocks away that is better for you.

Parking place - one Swimming pool - small and in reform Bathroom - good shower, wc unsuitable for grown ups too near to the wall... Breakfast plain, one must wash its own dishes... A good hostel, not a hotel.

This hotel is more like a big house. It is so cosy and comfortable, perfect for any homesick travellers! Good location, lovely and very helpful staff, nice rooms.

At the last minute my reservation in Santiago was cancelled. I had intended to stay closer to the downtown area but I saw that from past review this was a nice place to stay. The owners were very kind and pleasant and went out of their way to help me. I had an early flight on Saturday morning and the owner herself drove me to the airport. She said that taxi service was unrealiable and did not want me worrying about getting to the airport on time! Great quiet and safe location. Easy access to the subway. Good shoping and restaurants a short walk from the hotel.

This is an excellent hotel with friendly and helpful owners. Ideal location as close to town, restaurants, metro and you can easily get into the city and to Concha y Torro vineyard. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast provided, and owners provide taxi service to airport.

Had a great experience overall. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
