UI Inn

I stayed at UI Inn, Hulhumale for 7 days 6 night, and left this hotel on Saturday 12th, May, 2018 at 2pm. Saif (the staff in charge) allowed me a leniency to stay at least up to 3-5 hours after checkout time at 12 o' clock, that was because most guests were leaving to the other islands that day, and some new guests would arrive in the evening; otherwise he was unable to allow such leniency during peak season. I feel so satisfied with the courtesy and friendlyness of all staffs at UI Inn, especially Yunus, who took care of the cleanliness and frehness of the small single standard room I stayed for 6 nights at UI Inn. The Wi-Fi in this hotel is running very smoothly with high speed and for free! And the daily house keeping is excellent! Convenient and full air-con public buses to Male International Airport and Hulhumale Ferry Terminal are available around UI Inn and with very cheap prices. It takes only 10 minutes by bus from Hulhumale to Male Airport and only for MVR 20 (US $ 1.33). If people says, this little hotel is only good for a short stay before going to the other islands; to me either way is perfect, you can stay in this little hotel longer because they can provide various tours in a very competitive price. I loved the cleanliness at this little hotel and the beach nearby (only 20m from 2 separate buildings of UI Inn)!

Stayed 1 night for the transfer to our resort... Most of the staffs are very nice, helpful and welcoming (especially the guy who greets at the airport and the driver) but the room is grimly dark and hot (in spite the aircon being at its lowest)... There are definitely BETTER hotels worth your money... only thing I really like here are the staffs...

unfortunately room was not clean and smelling tabacco. staff was not really helpful

Hotel situado cerca del aeropuerto , ofrecen servicio de recogida por usd trayecto y persona ( precio en taxi para mismo trayecto 8-10 usd por 4 personas , además nos tuvieron esperando 30 minutos depsues de la hora acordada , poco profesionales en ese aspecto . La habitación está bastante bien , aunque con olor como de tabaco , desayuno muy simple , y empleados no muy agradables , Aquí me hicieron el pero cambio de rufias a dólares de toda mi estancia ,

Tried to overcharge on arrival. Rooms are modern and clean but building and services leaves a lot to be desired.

I would not recommend anyone to stay here. My friend and myself stayed here for a night before an early flight the next morning. At a first glance the room seemed ok. It seemed to have been recently refurbished. We both had a shower and settled in to watch tv. After a short while I heard a scratching sound above us. This increasing got worse followed by squeaking. We tried to phone reception, then realized the phone cable had been chewed through and wasn't connected to the wall. After going to reception to complain that we thought there were rats, we were told someone would come up to the room. 30 mins later, still no sign. At this point we had to vacate the room as we saw a rat running around the room (as you can imagine we panicked). We then Went back to reception shoeless as I wasn't hanging about to try and grab mine with rodents running around the room. Someone from reception went into the room while we watched from the door. He then proceeded to remove one of his shoes and moved some of the furniture. After a smack with his shoe he killed the rat, picked it up by the tail, didn't utter a word and left the room. We stood there in complete disbelief! We were then ignored and had to go back to reception to ask to be moved rooms as there were still rats running around! I'm still in shock. It wasn't an expensive hotel, we weren't expecting much, but we didn't expect rats in the room, rude staff or poor sanitation. Would not return!
