Well located. Clean and nice

The lady at the front desk was terrible. I saw her fighting with a customer because she entered the room where breakfast was to be served to get food for her kids. They never served breakfast as advertised in bookings. False advertisement. The lady kept claiming they did not serve breakfast because they were remodeling. False. No renovation. Simply they did not want to serve breakfast.

They did not offer breakfast. That area was closed.

No breakfast and I was not told that at check-in I would have stayed somewhere else. This was the most annoying and felt cheated There was no shampoo in dispenser in bathroom There was trash piled and overflowing at the front entrance of hotel Weeds in front flowerbed Broken tile and machinery panel exposed near pool. Location.

Pool room was HOT HOT HOT. No air. The cleaning of the room was below the standard ot should be. (Hairs in tub and on bathroom floor), the area where the floor meets the tub was icky. The headboards were not dusted. Made me wonder about the cleanliness of everything I touched. There was also a broken mirror (full sized on the wall). That should be replaced. It could cut a child. The air did not work well. It was humid, floor was super sticky (hard floors). Not sure what was up, but I used Holiday Inn Express the week before, and it was under construction and a mess, but the rooms were Great! I wished I would've stayed there again after the visit. I chose to try Hampton Inn because Holiday Inn Express was under construction. The breakfast was very good.

It was very clean and conveniently located. The rooms were nice too.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

I stayed in the Winnie Hampton Inn for several nights and was quite pleased. My room was good in all ways, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was a typical Hampton breakfast. I wish they would have had a few more offerings, but no other complaints. This is a great place to stay if you are going birding on High Island. One of the best parts of the stay was the fact that there was a great restaurant right next door called Tia Juanita's. They have a big menu with lots of delicious offerings.

Appreciated the breakfasts, but as a vegetarian/vegan, more fruit selection would be nice. I realize there are very few vegan foods in the markets and so that certainly isn’t the fault of the hotel.

Ran out of body wash, no biggie, just used shampoo for body wash; and toilet flushing was problematic for the first few days. It was fixed and then worked like a charm. Wifi only worked for a few minutes and then we were bumped off. Would be nice if wifi worked seamlessly.
