Sea Gate Hotel

10/10 experience. The owners were so nice and so helpful! The hotel is within walking distance from many things however we rented a Jeep to visit other areas of the island. The hotel offers horseback riding for a fee. It was an amazing experience to ride horses along the beach and around the island. They serve a light breakfast (free) every morning which includes hard boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, etc. The A/C worked really well in our room. The views from our room were breathtaking! There are iguanas, chickens, and horses on the property. We used a noise machine every night to keep the roosters from disrupting our sleep. We will be back for another visit because we loved it so much here!

Older property but it's big and spaced out. Town is within walking distance and so is sea glass beach with is absolutely gorgeous!! Would stay again

Like always, staying in Sea Gate it's a great experience. It a peaceful place, beautiful and clean. Its a place were do you like to return as i do for many years.

Roaches are a problem. They come out at night, relatively small ones in my room, large ones in the compound. Had a hard time getting a taxi to pick me up to go to a bio bay tour, thankfully the tour company was willing to move back my time otherwise I would've wasted that trip from the main land, on my birthday.

We really enjoyed this property! Kelly and Penny were amazing. Kelly saved us from a giant headache when she checked on us a few days before we were suppose to arrive. She let us know that the ferry was booked out 😬 but luckily we were able to a flight over. Kelly took time to go over the map of the island and suggest places to eat. We all slept amazing and woke up to a nice breakfast and coffee.

I appreciated the 3 beds in one room - perfect for our family of 4. Decent sized room for our use. Staff was very friendly. Helpful. Appreciated the clean beach towels available.

Our family had an amazing spring break overnight at Sea Gate in Vieques, Puerto Rico, and I highly recommend it! From the start, owner Kelly was incredibly communicative, making sure everything was set up perfectly for our arrival and offering great local tips. The staff was warm and welcoming, always eager to assist with any requests, which made us feel truly at home. The hotel was incredibly accommodating, offering spacious rooms and thoughtful amenities that made our stay so relaxing, especially with young kids. The peaceful atmosphere and prime location close to amenities and ferry terminal made it the perfect family base.

Great stay with wonderful people!! The Sea Gate is a family hotel on (at least) it's third generation. They make you feel like family when you stay. Once our reservations were made, the hosts got in touch a few days in advance of arrival to ensure everything was ready. They were very helpful in navigating the logisitcs around our ferry arrival, getting to our bio bay meet up point, finding a lovely (and delicious) dinner. The hotel is like a small resort with rooms in different locations and on different levels of the property. Some are side by side, but not all, so if you need to be near fellow travellers specify that with your reservation. (we liked being a bit apart, but that's us!) The rooms also vary in size and ammenities. I had a "suite" with a large patio, small kitchenette area, bathroom and large bedroom. My travelling compaion had a smaller room with two beds and an en suite bathroom. A patio with table and chairs was outside his room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless with nice touches like soap, make-up remover, soft towels and beachy decor. The air conditioning worked well and kept the main bedroom area very comfortable during the night. The room also had a fan, if needed. Checking in and out was a breeze. (Penny is just lovely!) I would stay here again, and recommend it to others!

Penny and Kelly were absolutely great and helpful. The room was tidy and comfortable. You'll have to get used to the free roaming chickens as they make a lot noise during the evening.
