Hotel Station Kyoto West

Das Hotel Station Kyoto West ist zwar schlicht und einfach ausgestattet, bietet aber alles, was es für eine Übernachtung braucht. Das 12-Tatami-Matten-Zimmer (inkl. eigenem Bad/WC) bot mehr als genug Platz. Das Hotel ist lediglich 5 Gehminuten vom Kyoto Bahnhof entfernt. Für Kyoto-Verhältnisse ist das Hotel zudem enorm preiswert.

A nice hotel conveniently located only a 10 min walk from the Kyoto train station. We chose the Japanese style room which means tatami mats on the floor and no shoes worn in the room. Also, we had to sleep on futons on the floor rather than beds. In my opinion these were a little uncomfortable, but I guess it's all part of the Japanese experience. The Japanese style rooms were clean and tidy with minimal furniture. Just a short legged table with four floor-chairs (Japanese style) which weren't very comfortable (again, my cushy western upbringing shows). The staff spoke English well and were very helpful. They made restaurant and show bookings over the phone on our behalf (a feat that would have been nigh-on impossible with the very limited Japanese my friends and I spoke). I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget.

We stayed her when all of the other hotels were an outrageous price. I think there must have been some type of convention going on. We've stayed in Kyoto before for much less. The room wasn't bad aside from the fact that it was a smoking room. That smell never goes away. We got a kick out of sleeping on the tatami. This is more like a hostel with your own bathroom but we didn't really care.

Hôtel convenable, quoique cher, pour un séjour de courte durée. Position stratégique prés de la gare centrale. Personnel serviable et aimable. Chambre spartiate.

ドアの鍵が抜けにくくて使いにくい。部屋の外に話し声が漏れていて騒がしい。窓のすぐ外に隣のビルの室外機がありうるさい。テレビの設置場所が悪く見づらい。照明が少なく、明るさの調節が出来ない。部屋の洗面所でドライアーが使用出来ない。これだけの欠点があるにも関わらず、料金が高い。

this hotel have poor provision, even shampoo/soap is distributed in the hotel reception. there is nothing in the room, not even a cup ,so u have to buy a cup for teeth brushing. it don;t have any water, so u have to buy bottle of water from the convenient store opposite to it, it is not a hotel, it is a hostel for students and backpackers.

This Is the most convenient best kept secret in Kyoto. 2 minutes WALK from Kyoto station, from any glitz you'd care to have nearby, walking distance to shrines and gardens (really!!), With large, traditional hot steaming baths for ladies and other for gents, immaculate, you even get a fresh kimono and jacket (ironed!) every morning(!), slippers fir in house, breljas in case of rain. You are across the street from Delicatessen, 7/11, cafe, noodle shop, buses and subway. and the price is 1/3 or less what you'd pay at the Granvia of Kyoto tower. For charm, tradition and inn-like ambiance, if you got to Kyoto, go there, and stay here: Hotel Station Kyoto Nishikan. I have photo of my room, don't see how to upload. It is pretty spectacular a photo if I do say so myself...
