This hotel is in one of the most beautiful settings in the world in our opinion! Drop dead beautiful view of the Zihuatanejo bay...backed with twinkling lights of the city, a painterly set of hills ...back dropped by flaming pink orange sunsets. The hotel, pool and restaurant is really high above the water...over looking large numbers of boats....exquisite and very romantic at night. Interesting minimalist room...with lovely flower welcome. The television turned out to be challenging to work for us. We also were concerned about the lack of a banister on the stairs to our room...somewhat of a safety concern, especially for older people. The restaurant serves a very interesting five course meal...beautifully presented. While the candles at night provide a romantic and rather magical setting, they do not provide enough light to show off the beautifully presented courses. The wait staff and manager were lovely...very oriented to make sure any issue or question was addressed Unfortunately, one night we both somehow ate something at dinner that did not agree with us...and paid for it during the night. That said, we plan to return because of all of the positives we experienced over several different visits.

This is an excellent small boutique hotel located on a hill overlooking La Ropa beach. Staff and amenities were excellent. Included breakfast was superb. Highly recommend.

Amazing visit

Our first trip to Zihua and Tentaciones made it all the more lovely. The room was wonderful -- plenty of space, immaculately clean, everything we needed, including our own private patio area with a stunning view of the bay. The dining and pool areas were always ready for guests, pristine, with fabulous views from every angle. QUIET! High on the hill so away from any road noise. Also high meaning a long walk down to get to the beach, which my old knees could barely handle, so that would be my only caution for anyone who has problems with stairs or steep hills. But the staff was always ready to call us a taxi when needed. It's in an area with several other upper-end hotels and resorts, so dining out is easy, although the restaurant there is great as well. This level of elegance, comfort and service was a joy to come back to every day!
