Hotel Virxe da Cerca by Pousadas de Compostela

Sehr gutes Frühstück.

La ubicación es muy buena, frente al mercado de abastos y cerca del casco viejo de Santiago.

Es un poco viejo el mobiliario. Por la noche no puedes abrir las ventanas de la terraza porque hay un local de copas cerca y producen mucho ruido, por lo que hay que tener las ventana cerradas y puesto el aire acondicionado si hace calor. El parking, tiene reservadas cierto número de plazas para el hotel, 15 euros el día, a 100 metros hay otro parking municipal que no está cubierto y sale el dia a 8 euros.

The facilities description on the Booking webpage is misleading: passenger can choose from three options , single, double standard and double superior (DS). However in reality the double superior rooms are extremely different, and if you choose (as we did) to pay the extra cost of the DS thinking you will get the best, you may be wrong. At the moment of check in you can get a room which is of the same size, the same features of the double standard. They have DS room in the ground level which are overlooking the garden, and pseudo DS in the second flor that aren't different from standard. It all depend at what time of the day you check in: the manager will tell you "is the only available room we have..." That was our case. Booking should ask the hotel to be more specific about it. Our room (202) have not stable shower temperature, in the middle of your showering the temperature can go suddenly up or down. Staff were not emphatic to any of our requests. Wont recommend this hotel

Ruido en la calle parte de la noche y por la mañana mucho ruido de gente e incluso de personal de limpieza.

very helpful staff, the hotel oozes an old world charm.

Beautiful lawn in back which was a lovely break from all the hard surfaces in town
