Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge

We would not stay here again.

We travel a lot as a family. We are not difficult or fussy but we expect to get what we are promised. We booked a luxury room with a river view for 3. We arrived to find that the "third bed" for our 10 year old son was a mattress on the floor. Then we were told that they could not provide us with dinner and that we would have to drive to a local restaurant. If this was a cheap B&B fine but this is not acceptable for a hotel. Nobody offered to take our bags to the room. They put us in a "garden cottage" with no view and a sofa bed. I got my own beer and even ended up making my wife's gin-and-tonic myself. Hotel??? The following morning the manager showed up and tried to offer us the drinks and car wash for free. We paid for the drinks. We paid the guy who washed the car as he did a great job. The staff were very but the manager never said sorry. He just tried to buy us off with two free drinks. We were in the bush for 8 days and had been travelling for more than 7 hours when we arrived. We wanted out last night in South Africa to be special. It was not !!

The view is nice. Also the breakfast is good. The man who served our breakfast had a nice chitchat each day. We got a free roomupgrade, that was very kind.

We hoped the host would be more enthousiast with his customers. Also some personal tips/recommondations about the Krugerpark would make a difference for us.

The staff was very friendly and always willing to assist. The location was exceptionally beautiful, and the coffee was great😁

The hotel is well located in Marloth park. You can run in the morning close to zebra, giraffes and other kudus!!

Facilities outdated and bathroom didn’t smell great. Slippery old baths with plastic rubber mats are not exactly hygienic. WiFi not very reliable Food wasn’t as great as all the reviews make you believe

We came as a group of 20 to Crocodile Kruger and had an amazing stay. Johan and the staff were so pleasant and accommodating, from the moment we arrived. Two members of our group required a visit to the local doctors and Johan took them free of charge. Their care and kindness during our entire stay was very much appreciated.
