Ryokan Sawaya Honten

Great location in Kyoto close to everything you need, staff where super helpful and lovely and we where able to check in earlier too, thank you so much!

The Ryokan's location was a wonderful escape from the busy city. We loved the authentic feel of both the exterior and interior. Our room was cosy and felt like home. We especially appreciated the convenient access to the onsen. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Being away from the busy city meant there were fewer restaurants within walking distance. There is also no elevator, so carrying large or heavy luggage up and down the stairs may be a challenge for guests staying on the upper floors.

Struttura incantevole, camera ampia e spaziosa, comodo avere una onsen aperta praticamente tutta la notte!

We loved the historical, clean and well-maintained ryokan. The room was spacious and futons very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and respectful. There are buses and a train station nearby that allows for access to all the local attractions but it is a quieter part of Kyoto. The hot bath at the end of a big day of walking was most welcome! And if you can secure a breakfast set, it is truly delightful!

La personne à l’accueil était assez froide.

Le personnel était adorable, à l'écoute et très serviable et la chambre était vraiment grande et jolie.

Le lit (qui est un lit traditionnel) n'était pas à ma convenance
