Redwood Bed and Breakfast

very nice place with a very nice couple who runs it. clean spacious and very good breakfast. Highly reccomended if you look for local BNB place and not Vegas type hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with Redwood, especially since we blindly picked. We stayed in the third floor suite which had a living room area with a couch and TV and access to a deck. There was a kitchen/eating area with a fridge, freezer, microwave, Coffee machine and electric kettle and a dining table . The bedroom was lovely king size bed-large closet and bay windows overlooking the river. The bath had an old-fashioned claw foot tub and a walk in shower. The house was walkable to the falls and shoping/dining. We felt totally safe walking back well after dark. Don't get me started about the breakfast!! The Best food we had on this vacation was breakfast. If we ever return to Niagra Falls-we would definately stay here again

Decor

I enjoyed how close all the attractions were based on walking and bussing distance (based on what was planned). A car was not needed unless travelling far. The food was fantastic for the breakfast in the morning. Overall, the sleeping arrangements were exceptional.

As the home is older, wooden floors will creek (the hosts have mentioned this). But not the worst sleeping situation as other folks respected quiet hours rules.

We were there for 2 nights and both breakfasts were delicious. Especially loved the asparagus wrapped in bacon. Much appreciated was the option of picking our own meal time. Some B&B's dictate service hours and as I am not an early riser, it was great that we didn't have to report for breakfast quite so early. Coffee maker in the room was an added plus as we could enjoy our 1st cup of coffee in the comfort of our room. The room was very spacious (The Paris Room) with a large sitting area and sleeping area with pocket doors between them. Bathroom was large with modern features. While we were there, we experienced a few chilly days (and got soaked while at the Falls), and was happy to enjoy the electric fireplace in the room. Location was ideal; with an easy 15 minute or so walk to the Falls area (although a tad longer to the Horseshoe Falls which were further down). Was great to just park our car (free ample on site) and walk to and fro without having to worry about finding a place to park. Check in was easy and we were given a code to open the door so we could come and go as we pleased. Guests are asked to remove their shoes upon entering and sandals were provided. While some may not like this, we had no problem with it. Owners provide a refrigerator/freezer in the main dining room for guest usage.

While the location was ideal for visiting the falls, it is on a main roadway; thus there was traffic back and forth in front all day and into the night. If you are a slight sleeper, this could be an issue especially in the Paris Room as the entire room faces the road. One night we were there was delightfully cool for sleeping but we couldn't really keep the one window open due to the noise. Not a big deal - just would have been nice to have fresh air. The only other downfall is that due to the age of the building (100+ years old if I remember correctly), the floors are quite creaky; both in the room and on the stairs. Luckily all of the guests were quiet during the night and it wasn't an issue. Just made it hard to quietly creep into the bathroom during the night without disturbing my sleeping partner. Again, a minor thing; just something to mention. The room has a large balcony overlook the front of the property. However, because there had been rain over the day or so preceding our stay, the cushions were wet. A suggestion would be to have a plastic bin for storage available on wet days/nights.

Wonderful place to stay in a fantasticlocation. Highly recommended. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and different every day. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Redwood Bed and Breakfast. The house is beautiful and is in a great location between the falls and the other attractions near the whirlpool. The room was very cute and the balcony gave a great outside space. Lin & Jin provided great hospitality throughout the whole stay. Thank you!

Property is very spacious, clean, and conveniently located. Owners are extremely courteous and helpful. My only regret is staying a single night!
