Car parking too tight the room was very old and tired worn out and did not look anything like the photos on line

I asked for a two-bedroom apartment and was pleasantly surprised that it had not only two bedrooms but also had two single beds set up in the lounge area so all three of us had a separate room.

The motel itself wasn't as shown in the photos of the Booking.com website - wasn't sure if it was the correct property to start with. The parking was very difficult to get into as the space was very tight - but they did have parking up the back of the motel for bigger cars to park. When we got into the apartment itself, the bath mat and hand towel were folded nicely on the basin, but were soaking wet, which I reported to staff. Staff were of a different culture and were hard to understand and communicate with, although they were not rude. Difficult to get answers on the phone when I rang both the Tropicana Motel (where I had to pick my key up from afterhours which was next door) and the Browns on Broadbeach to find out what time was the latest I could pick up the key from the Tropicana as Browns opened at 2pm and closed at 5pm and I had a show at the Casino between those exact times. Had to send a text which they answered. The single beds in the living room were very hard and uncomfortable. All other beds were lovely.

Position is everything, just across the road is Pacific Fair, the Star Casino, Dracula's, Broadbeach mall just down the way and the tram is just across the road that takes you into Surfers Paradise. The room is a bit dated but it's spacious, clean and comfortable, had a kitchenette, fridge, microwave and a sink. They have undercover parking available, I have stayed there before and will stay there again.

We provided most meals for ourselves within the unit. The beds were very clean and were comfortable. The motel was close to Tram and buses and Pacific Fair. The owner did give in to replacing towels on the 3rd day after I assured, her I was not paying $2 each for fresh towels. Budget motel should not mean, no clean towels after 2 days use.

It advertised a full kitchen. In NZ and Australia where I have stayed, that means an oven with top elements and a microwave This one did have a microwave, an electric fry pan and an old rusty looking separate 2 element flat piece of equipment that had to sit somewhere to use. Only 1 power plug was available that the frypan, the toaster the jug and the 2 elements could reach. It was beside a plug that was needed for the fridge. It made cooking for 6 people very difficult. The internet was mostly unavailable. Asked for fresh towels after 2 days use and were told they only replace after 7 nights. I even had to get a kind person in next unit to make our toast and boil jug for first breakfast due to power failure in our unit only
