One of the rooms had no hot water in bathroom. Got a surprise about the hotel taxi not available for early morning airport drop off, after earlier confirmation so hotel helped arrange outsider private taxi. .

I was bringing my family for the first time to India and Rajkot. Our stay at the Marasa Sarovar portico was a memorable one. We had arrived after a very tiring trip and we were exhausted. We arrived in the early hours and although the check in time was 2 pm, the front desk assistant Sourabh made sure we were taken good care of and we had a early check in. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. Very clean hotel and well maintained. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Rooftop restaurant was also very good. Location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. All in all we had very good and memorable 9 days and we highly recommend these hotel for its staff and cleanliness.

The location in town was great. We were on a family trip for just one night. The top floor restaurant (awkwardly named Garam Giggles - whoever thought of this name?) was pretty good, although it serves non-veg. It overlooks a ground where a garba performance was going on, on the last night of Navratri on October 1. We enjoyed watching the garba, along with food (some nice cheese fondue). It is just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Mahatma Gandhi Museum. Since we were there on October 2nd, we did not eat breakfast at the hotel (our family observes a vow to spend less than $1 a day per person on food every October 2nd). Our sons got the handicapped-accessible room, which was quite nice and thoughtfully designed.

The rooms were pretty small. I was kinda amazed that the senior of the two people at the reception when we arrived did not know the location of the Gandhi museum. He said "I'm new here myself." Surely, he can be trained a bit about the city, even if he is from outside.

Food... awesome. Rooms too good..

The room was ready upon arrival, and the check-in process was quick and hassle-free

"The rooms are quite small, and the cleanliness could be improved, as there were visible hard water stains in the bathroom. Even the restaurant tables and seating weren’t well maintained, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the food was decent.
