"Jewish dude ranch"

10.0

30 horses in residence. Jewish cowboys give lessons and lead trail rides. Comfortable rustic cabins w/ nice bathrooms. Relaxing & restful for non-riders. Good but not outstanding free breakfast. Terrific view of Sea of Galilee on clear days. Nothing nearby. Fine but pricey (100+ shekel) dining. Helpful good English speaking staff. Reasonable fluff-&-fold laundry.

"Can’t wait to go back to Vered Hagalil!"

10.0

I cannot day enough great things about Vered Hagalil! For example, I had mentioned that we were coming to Vered Hagalil for our anniversary and when we entered our room we saw that staff has left a bottle of wine, dates and a lovely card for us. The room had a jaccuzzi and a beautiful view of the kinneret. We had a delicious dinner at tibi’s restaurant on site. So yummy! And the next morning we took a 1 hour horseback ride in the rocky hills along the kinneret. Our stay could not have been better - can’t wait to go again!!

"Vered Hagalil"

8.0

We enjoyed our stay at Vered Hagalil. There was a mix up with our reservation for horseback riding but once we got it straightened out, it was a lovely 4 hour ride to the Galilee. Our wrangler, Omer, was terrific. The property is a little rustic so it is not for everyone. We stayed in one of the newer family suites, #25, which was spotlessly clean and somewhat modernized with a beautiful view of the Galilee. The bedding was not the greatest as the pillows were hard. Thank goodness I brought my own. You need a car there because you are far from everything and other than horseback riding in the winter there is nothing to do. The pool was closed. Fortunately, our family picked us up on the second day and took us sightseeing. The restaurant closed unexpectedly for breakfast on the last day and guests were given the option to dine at a nearby restaurant. We had no way to get there but the receptionist went out of her way to have breakfast delivered to our room. There was so much food left over that we took it with us and had it for lunch that day. The Farm has a restaurant on site where we had dinner both nights. The service and food were exceptional. As long as you understand that you are staying on a farm and don't expect 5 star luxury, you will enjoy your time there. You can hike or horseback ride down to the Galilee. There are also fruit trees on the property where we picked and enjoyed the best grapefruits.

"Vacation from the United States"

8.0

Beautiful, secluded serene place to stay at esp during the week. Weekends are more busier with families and kids which can get loud if you are close to play ground. Car rental is highly recommended in order to tour all the close sites around. We dined at the restaurant, and enjoyed the food but after a couple of nights got tired of the food. Service in the restaurant can be rude and non existent on certain nights that’s why I highly recommend a rental car. Fire wood was provided every night and house cleaning was excellent. Cabins are a little out dated but overall can’t beat the beautiful secenary. The grounds also need upkeep if you walk around the property map sites. You can pick fruit from their orchad trees which was really nice.
