Cooinda Lodge Kakadu

We found the food to be not very good and very expensive. We understand why expensive but hoped for something that was tasty.

On arrival floor dirty with fine red dust, broken blind, fridge door shelves missing, outdoor light not working and no wifi in the cabin. Obliging staff when problems reported, but for $500 a night, it should be perfect when one arrives. The restaurant is the only place open until 4:30pm(?) when the bistro/bar opens and provides limited offerings and is expensive. Can't eat in the cabin because there are no facilities, not even a microwave and there is no table or chairs inside necessitating the bringing of the outdoor table and chairs inside, when one wanted to sit anywhere other than the bed. The daily room service did not include sweeping, vacuuming or mopping the floor (and no broom is provided). Wifi is available around the restaurant and bar, and I noticed that wifi in the cabin is available in the most expensive rooms, so it can be provided to the next level of rooms if management wishes to do so. Both pools were great and the cabins otherwise comfortable. Staff were friendly and responsive. Too many problems and limitations to justify $500 per night.

Glamping tents were awesome. Very comfy & private. Awesome pools and good bar & bistro. Will definitely be back.

Although the lodge room was very basic, it had everything we needed for our one night stay.

Superb site. Access to water cruise amazing. Staff made fantastic efforts to accomodate. Very remote from any village but site has pleanty of options including resaurants; caravan park, shop with mini supermaket and petrol.

Pool is very nice.

It was a lovely oasis in Kakadu National park, loved the 3 days there, accommodation, food, boat cruise on yellow waters a real highlight

The pool area was fantastic. Rooms were fairly good although lacked some basic facilities such as utensils and plates to use with the BBQ's

Loved the setup and so close to the river Didn’t like the cost of meals they were extremely expensive The mattress needs to be replaced far to soft

We had a wonderful stay.The accommodation was excellent.The service friendly and very helpful.The meals- absolutely splendid- and we are vegan and hyper critical!The park itself is extraordinary and warrants without a doubt its World Heritage listing.It was a pleasure for me to visit again and share the joy of my companions.
