Arrived to our hotel in Venice, smart hotel holiday, Son Dona' Rielto, check was smooth, got to our room, very small with 3 single beds, (room 101). Pillers were lumpy, my bed had a dip in the middle, no kettle however we did bring our camping kettle, first night's sleep was ok, second night somewhat different, we had ants in bathroom coming from under shower tray, we extinguished what we saw, they kept coming, went to reception to inform them, a worker came up with a hover, that didn't clear them they just get coming, we had an invasion of ants they went but came back, again complained on our last night, however the kind receptionist give us a better room, the man that came to hover them up gave me a lot of abuse, raising his voice, explaining if you brought food up to the room this is the result, on our first night in the room we didn't have any food, the ants moved in before we arrived, on searching for reviews after I had already booked couple did state about there being ants in their room, and yes, it was same room, 101, we went out for a day in Venice, on our arrival back to our room we noticed ants had also took over the shelves near the TV and closed to the wardrobe/ fridge area, we now had an invasion of ants, I did buy food for our snacks on our flight, but not opened anything, but the ants had been there since day 1 of our holiday. The food in the restaurant was great the first night but the rest of our meals on day 2, 3 4 th night was repetitive, vegi thick soup piled with green cabbage, and beef medium rare with roasted veg and small chips. We had looked forward to experiencing Venice but the stress of having ants sharing our room with us certainly but a damper on the first day also days that followed, I give this hotel negative points all round, lesson learnt for me to always take notes of others reviews before booking. So if you also should book this hotel be cautious of room 101. Venice is a lovely city, but hotels like this spoils the overall Venice experience, would I return, deffo not.

The part of the property that was not being renovated was well maintained. The room was vey clean and all furnishings were in excellent condition.

The room didn’t have functioning air conditioning at the time of this visit and it was unseasonably hot for April , but were given an oscillating fan which did help with cooling down the room and make it more comfortable for sleeping.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel after disembarking a cruise. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As the tourist tax had just been introduced the receptionist was very helpful in arranging this for us. Our room was very comfortable and we slept very well. There is a pleasant lounge/bar area. There is just a short walk to the tram stop with a very regular, and on time service, to Mestre and Venice. A taxi to the airport was very quick.

Hotel je v slabem stanju in na zelo nesrečni lokaciji(zraven obvoznice). Cena sigurno previsoka za kakovost. Tudi slučajno si ta hotel ne zasluži 4 zvezdice.
