Reception is big and bright with some seating. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. There is a small lounge. Seating out front. Car parking. Bedroom is big and bright and clean. Tidy. Big comfortable bed with very good bedding. Desk and chair and a chair to sit on. Two bedside tables with wall lights over. Fridge, tele, wardrobe and air con. Double patio doors to seating area with two ‘wicker’ chairs and table. Seperate clean and smart toilet. Good sized shower room with big walk in cubicle with double headed shower. Shower works well with plenty of hot water. Plenty of good white towels. Free toiletries. Make up mirror and mirror. Hairdryer. Heated towel rail. All spotless. Huge grounds and a wonderful swimming pool with ample good loungers. Lots of additional seating and tables to sit at. Excellent views of both Beynac, Marqueyssac and many a hot air balloon. Breakfast isn’t cheap, but was very good. Lots of everything. Good quality. If you like cakes this is for you. In the lovely conservatory. No evening restaurant but the snack menu is as good as many a restaurant and the local produce platter was excellent. There is a small bar with local beer from Brassée 24.

No soft close toilet! Thin toilet paper. Very little privacy in the open/shared areas as all the patios and seating areas are next to each other with little or no screening.

This is a real gem of a place in the heart of the Dordogne. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and speak English well enough to save me the embarrassment of trying out my schoolboy French. Set in the countryside in Vezac its easy enough to find, has plenty of car parking and is spotlessly clean with well appointed rooms. We had room 28 a two story room with a large double bed and en-suite facilities downstairs and twin beds on the balcony floor above. Sliding patio doors opened onto a little private area overlooking their swimming pool. The room was well equipped and comfortable. Breakfasts were in the large conservatory at the front of the premises and well worth the extra they charged. In fact breakfast here was the best we experienced in the five locations we stayed at during this trip. We spent three nights here but it would be the perfect location from which to explore the Dordogne for a longer time with the beautiful town of La Roque-Gageac just a short drive away. Here you will find tour boats to take you along the river and for the more energetic canoes you can hire and paddle yourself. If, like me, youve reached that point in life where you just want to relax and enjoy the sights and good food then this is the place to visit. We ate in good Pizza cafe which was very reasonably priced and also at the two star Michelin La Belle Étoile which has menus at €42 and €62 a head excluding wine. To say it was sensational is an understatement.

Petit dejeuner tres varié en prenant en compte les souhaits de beaucoup de personnes. J'y ai même trouvé du lait végétal... ce n'est pas le cas partout..choix de confitures maison et miel impressionnant. Piscine chauffée..vue magnifique sur le beau village de Beynac Chambre propre et literie de qualité. Petites améliorations à prévoir dans la salle d'eau : support pour poser les affaires de toilette. Porte à la douche car inondation dès qu'on prend une douche
