I had the misfortune of staying at Le Celestium in Munnar with my wife and child, and it turned into one of the worst experiences of our lives. The trouble began when we ordered food from their restaurant – all three of us fell severely ill with food poisoning that night. What could have been a manageable situation turned into a nightmare due to the hotel’s utter lack of care and support. Throughout the night, my wife, my child, and I suffered from relentless vomiting and frequent motions. With only one bathroom in our room, we were in desperate need of help, but the staff’s response was shockingly cold. We pleaded for access to an extra bathroom – a basic request given our condition – but they flatly refused, citing their policies. Greedy and insensitive doesn’t even begin to describe their attitude. We were left to struggle in misery, taking turns in agony, with no assistance or empathy from the management. The next morning, still weak and exhausted, we had to prepare for a 12-hour drive back to Bangalore. I asked for something as simple as a few bananas(which I offered to pay) to help us regain some strength for the journey, but even that was denied. The hotel managerial staff showed zero compassion or willingness to help. The only silver lining was a kind Bengali housekeeping staff member who, out of his own goodwill, assisted me in gathering our belongings and getting ready to leave. He was the sole human touch in an otherwise heartless establishment. The drive back to Bangalore was a horror story in itself – no sleep, no food, and still reeling from the sickness, all thanks to Le Celestium’s negligence and indifference. This hotel isn’t just a disappointment; it’s a place that lacks basic humanity. If you value your health, peace of mind, and expect even a shred of support in times of need, avoid Le Celestium at all costs. We paid premium for a stay and food, but what we got was suffering and abandonment. Never again.

One of the worst experiences. No kettle. Restricted hot water, bad location, run down property. Breakfast was non existent.

The rooms are clean and have a good space. Staff is good n polite. Their in-house restaurant is good. We enjoyed the food. Restaurant 4.5/5 Room size 4/5 Staff 4/5 Proximity to centre 3.9/5 Room cost 3/5
