Please note that the hotel offers return transfers to and from Rarotonga Airport for NZD$50 return per person. You must provide their flight details, including arrival and departure times, at the time of booking by completing the Special Request box. This is very important to ensure the transfer shuttle will be at the airport to meet you and also because the hotel’s reception is not open 24 hours a day. Please note that all requests for early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Additional charges apply at 50% of the nightly room rate. Guests are welcome to contact the property for more information using the contact details on the booking confirmation. We process deposits 5-7 days from booking, there will be a fee of 4% added to all cc payments to cover the bank processing. Check‑in Age: Guests must be 18 years or older to check in. Pet Policy: The property hosts an animal refuge with 11 donkeys, 1 horse, 1 dog, 4 cats, hens, and geese who roam freely on site. Pets are allowed only upon prior request and at an extra cost of €5 per night. For the comfort of other guests and the safety of our rescued animals, pets must be kept on a lead outside at all times. Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals (“Assistance Animals”) are welcome at all properties and must be declared at check‑in. Pets are also permitted; however, charges may apply. Please inquire by calling or visiting the property. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Excellent"

Lovely smaller accommodation with the friendliest staff thinkable. You get a spacious room with a gorgeous bed and outdoor shower (none indoors but you don’t really have to with the weather). You get decent kitchen wear so you can cook yourself (2 induction pits) and a good toaster and coffee maker. Only downside for us was that they don’t have an onsite restaurant so you have to get groceries for breakfast, or any other meal, if you don’t want to go out. There are two restaurants close by (2 to 10 min walk) that offer lunch and dinner but they are not open all days. I would recommend getting a car so you can get to places to eat or swim as the reef right in front of the accommodation is nice but it doesn’t leave room to swim. The onsite pool however makes up for that too.

Nice view and comfortable room environment and items! All very good! And the staff (Jayne, David and all other staffs) are all very nice!!! I really recommend this accommodation!

Great location and facilities—just a few minutes' walk to two restaurants and a dairy store. The room is clean and quiet. Friendly people, beautiful beach. They offer a car rental service, which is very convenient.

We had the best experience at Magic Reef from the moment we arrived. Simone is very accommodating and available for all of our needs. Perfect location. Beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfast on the first day, and available to purchase each day. If/when we come back to Rarotonga we will definitely stay here again.

What an amazing time we had here in Rarotonga! The entire staff were so helpful and accommodating; a joy to interact with. The comfortable bungalows were stocked with all the kitchen supplies and essentials we needed (plus more!). The bathroom in our room was brand new, and felt like such a luxury. And all the seating options on the beach (hammocks, lounge chairs, bean bags, tables and chairs on the pavilion) were comfortable and added to our enjoyment while we were there. Highly recommend!

Greta location easy to get to things, right on the beach all the bungalows facing water direction is lovely with the pool in the middle. We didn’t think we would use the pool but we did a couple of times. The owners Lawrence and Simonne were super friendly and helpful, their other staff were genuinely warm. Beds and rooms were great, awesome to have kitchens to make food so don’t have to eat out all of the time, and they are well equipped. Very helpful having electric cars onsite to hire.
