Convenient for our visit, suited our needs very well.

Heater so close to one side of the bed meant that the heat wasn’t evenly distributed, one of us was too warm in order for the other to feel comfortable.

Clean and comfortable rooms in a semi rural location on the edge of Derby, close to the A38 and a fifteen minute drive from the town centre. An excellent bar and restaurant. Continental breakfast, with cooked breakfast options at the weekend. Staff are friendly and helpful. An excellent carvery on a Sunday.

Can occasionally be a little noisy late on a Saturday as it is also hosts parties.

Only thing is I want aware breakfast was available and on the Saturday no one asked if M I wanted a hot breakfast as it was an option but never mentioned by staff

I stay away with work for at least 3 nights per week and I am fed up with Premier Inn/Travellodge and the prices are too high. I chose this as an alternative as the reviews were good and felt safe as a lone traveller. The property exceeded my expectations. The food for evening meal was outstandingly good and I had lasagne one night and pie the next night, all home made. The bar service on each night was excellent and breakfast was a perfect continental offering. The room itself was self contained, well lit, heated and had all the facilities you would need. I will definitely be returning regularly.

Available food in restaurant was a varied choice and of high quality. Staff were very friendly but professional

Nothing to complain about

Stayed in superior suite. Room was very cold and not inviting. Too large a space for furniture in it. No pictures, just bare walls. Toilet leaked and tap at the sink constant dripping. Signs in the bar to ask people to be quiet when leaving the property, however we were woken by a group of people shouting and arguing that had left the pub around 2am for a while. Nobody asked them to be quiet. People sat on a wall outside the room on and off arguing on the phone in the evening. We weren't asked how our stay was. We were looking for a place to stay regularly due to events we attend, but we would not stay again.
