Hilton Garden Inn Manhattan Kansas

The room was very nice. The staff were friendly. They went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered.

The doors were heavy and made ALOT of noise when closing. It constantly woke me up when someone left their room. Also, the shower stall design is awful. You literally have to get INTO the stall to turn on the water. Finally, the water pressure and temp constantly fluctuates, whenever someone flushes a toilet or runs their shower.

The location was good for the graduation I was attending. The rates were increased for the weekend, which was not a bonus, as it was quite high.

The only staff I encountered was behind the counter. There was no eye contact, and they did not seem to enjoy their job.

Location. Nice rooms and comfortable bed.

I had to pay for parking. Should not have to pay for parking if a hotel guest.

We’ve stayed here before and it’s been fine. This trip was not good. The 1st room had a door that didn’t latch very well and the deadbolt lock didn’t work. It so poorly latched my daughter came up and thought the door was open (huge crack). I didn’t realize it didn’t lock until I returned later that night. The deadbolt didn’t turn and if you tried a while it might turn and then couldn’t get it open. Think fire or emergency and you’d be stuck!! Or if you left it unlocked someone could easily push it and it would open. I called the front desk. I mentioned the safety concerns and they said they’ve never had an incident. And I was like well I walked in the door off the street right by the elevators at 10pm and could go to any floor. They offered to move. They bright keys and I moved. The 2nd room was disgustingly dirty. I don’t see how the room had been cleaned or serviced. See photos. I picked the cleaner of the 2 beds and went to bed since it was so late. When I checked out I asked the front desk to have the manager call me. I didn’t get a receipt so I had to call back. They said it was escalated to the manager. I never got a call. So that tells you everything you need to know. They don’t care about the safety of guests and don’t care if the rooms are clean. And they’ll charge you $250/night. That’s the standard.
