Hampton Inn & Suites Shreveport/Bossier City at Airline Drive

The front desk staff was WONDERFUL and very helpful. The room was set up ok but needed a lot of cleaning. There were strange stains all over the curtains and something sticky one of the bedspreads. Dining area was clean and staff very sweet.

Breakfast was pretty lackluster, but the hotel was great otherwise. The people were extremely nice too.

It was awesome. Wonderful staff, service and accommodations. Great for us and our two dogs. Sammy Lee was especially terrific, and helpful, to make sure we had a great stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bossier City at Airline Drive last week. We were there for 4 nights. This was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. First of all, let me applaud the hotel staff. The ladies at the front desk - Wendy and Sammy Lee - were some of the nicest people we have ever talked to. The were very friendly and made us feel right at home. They responded immediately to any question or request that we had. Regarding Wendy and Sammy Lee, most of all, they BOTH offered me extra towels. This is only the second time that this has happened in my extensive travel experience of over 40 years and possibly over 200 hotel stays. When I remarked about this to them, they both explained that it is just part of the training - if a customer has a written request on file, they do their darnedest to meet those expectations. Wendy and Sammy Lee are unique in this respect. Next, I would like to applaud the breakfast service. The food at the breakfast buffet was very good. The employee (sorry, I don't recall her name) that prepared the food was friendly and kind. This buffet offered enough of a variety that most anyone would be able to find something to start their day. The room was clean, neat and tidy. Everything in the room worked as expected. The bedding was so comfortable that I was able to fall asleep within minutes and stay asleep without waking until my alarm clock went off the next morning (a rarity for me). The housekeepers were friendly and kind, and did an excellent job cleaning the room. Finally, upon checking out, the staff was able to properly process my Am Ex gift cards. I had previously tried to use these gift cards in three other hotels, and the staff at those hotels were not able to do so. Sammy Lee ran my gift cards and got the funds applied to my account without difficulty. I can't sing her praises enough! I had become concerned that the Am Ex gift cards were going to become expensive, worthless artifacts in my desk. Sammy Lee renewed my faith in Am Ex gift cards. I shared my experiences with my siblings, and they actually said that this quality of service should rate this hotel 6 stars - for the service alone. Quality service in a hotel these days is hard to find. If you want quality service, this is an excellent hotel for you.
