The Ocean Villas - Managed by The Ocean Resort

No bellman or anyone there guided us to the reception at the time we arrived, we had to carry our heavy luggages walked through a very small door. The next morning, they trimmed the lawn outside of the villa. Usually, that was normal to me but it was to noisy as I opened the curtain and discovered there were about 10 workers there with at least 5 trimming machine running at the same time. I can't understand why they need that many workers and the house keeping appeared from no where right at the stairs in front of our sleeping room. I had already told them to make up the room later while my girlfriend was in her bathrobe and doing the make-up but they were seem like not quite got the meaning. The second morning, we decided to have the buffet breakfast at the restaurant which was included in our booking. I have to say, the service there was extremely terrible. They don't even know how to cook a small bowl of PHO which is a traditional and famous dish of Vietnam. my girlfriend ordered one for me. I recognized it right away the noodles wasn't well cook. Later, my girlfriend ordered one for her and had requested them to re cook the noodles, she had to wait like forever and then when they brought the bowl out for us. There was no beef or vegetables inside, she had to bring the bowl back to the chef and asked him to give her some. Noone seemed to care about cleaning the dirty dishes on our table. Anyways, worst buffet breakfast service ever that I have ever experienced.

We had reserved one of their superb designer's villas for a few days to rest from jetlag on our arrival for a month trip in Vietnam and it was the perfect setting! Good restaurant that delivers to your own dining room, privacy, friendly staff and efficient service, everything was above expectations except for the Spa massages wich are not worth the price. We cooked some of our meals in the well equiped kitchen and there is a good choice of wines and fresh local and importes products at the Metro Supermarket. Conveniently located midway between Danang and Hoi An (15 minutes with meter taxis always available on the spot), that quiet resort is almost alone in an area were you can stroll on the magnificent beach for kilometers without seing anybody except for a friendly Vietnamese women walking her hundred goats on the beach in the morning and back in the afternoon... We loved those amazing moments, especially when she showed us two newborn babies she was carrying in a bag!

The hotel is very good. We stay in a luxury villa with a kitchen, a living room, a huge bed room and a private pool. Overall it was good. The only issue is it is quite far from the city. So you either need to have a car or prepare to pay for taxi (about $12-$15 one way).

The perfect place to stay if you're with a family. If you're looking to go out on the town a lot, this probably isn't the place for you. The villas are basically houses with accommodating amenities and home comforts. There's a bus that takes you to hoi an. The food is amazing. I'd stay here again for sure. Amazing value for what you're getting. It's a steal... They also have western food options alongside some common Vietnamese options.

Villas have the look of an American subdivision but they are very nice, well equipped and very comfortable. The beach is great, the food in the restaurant ( we did breakfast mostly ) is perfectly fine. We did order takeaway on one or two cool nights and it was excellent. We would stay again.

It was such a stunning villa. The service was stellar. Our villa was a 2 minute walk to the beach. We dined in the restaurant and the food was good but pricey for Vietnamese standards. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The beach was so beautiful and very quiet and peaceful. You must go to Hoi An when staying here even though it is a half hour cab ride from the villa. It is totally worth it. This is my second time staying in this area and I would definitely go back.

A enjoyable stay with with the beach & golf course only short walk or buggy ride away. Breakfast at White Caps was more than adequate with choices of local & western foods. The Resort location is rather remote to outside towns 250000 dong taxi ride ! there is a free shuttle to Hoi an twice a day.

There is no doubt that the accommodation here is luxury and every bit as tranquil as the other reviews promise. A little stepford in its residential setting and a far throw from the Vietnam beyond its gates, all is forgiven on entering your private plunge pool. However the big downfall here is the service. Bar a couple shining lights, and I mean a couple, the staff are totally disengaged with the guests to the point where you feel that it is inconvenient that you are staying there. The check out procedure previously referred to is farcical and something which we had to go through twice. Beware of booking trips through the villas as it is an excuse to be ferried from one shop to another by your driver and guide as a way of them earning more. Don't bother to try and complain as there seems to be no one in charge! It is lovely and more than we could have wished for but so was our £20 a night hotel in Hanoi and the staff there were outstanding.

The Ocean Villas are immaculate, fully equipped brand new free standing houses with their own pool and all modern conveniences. The ocean and large pool nearby are just fantastic. Set among tropical paradise surroundings. The down side is that its a short taxi ride from Hoi An - a charming ancient village with fantastic restaurants, tailors and shopping. There aren't many amentities around the Villas. Its great for just chilling out, but you will need to go to town to eat as the Ocean Cafe is very limited and not terrific quality for the price. Great for Breakfast by the ocean and the pool, but my advice is to head to Hoi An for all other meals, unless you plan to cook for yourself.

After a bad year last year, health wise, our stay at The Ocean Villas was just what my family and I needed. The villa was perfect - very spacious, comfortable, cool and quiet. The bedrooms were magnificent with softish (not Asian rock hard), comfortable beds and superb bathrooms. Having our own private pool was 'heaven on a stick'! Although it was shallow, about hip deep, it was perfect to cool off in without having to trek over to the resort pool or beach. The beach was beautiful - so clean (was expecting rubbish in the water and garbage washed up by the tide as per Thailand but quite the opposite) and the water crystal clear. My teenage kids were a bit disappointed that the waves were pretty lame but it was perfect for toddlers and small kids. The resort is roughly half way between Hoi An and De Nang but there are plenty of green taxis waiting outside to take you into town (costs about AU$12.50 one way). Hoi An is beautiful and a shoppers delight but I was glad we were staying out of the hustle and bustle of site seers, shoppers and shop owners. Meals at the resort were delicious but were about 3 or 4 times the price of meals in Hoi An.........yet still cheap compared to Aussie meals. Overall this resort was the BEST for comfort, cleanliness, service and PERFECT for my family holiday.
