Nice hotel in the very center of Valladolid. If you want a quiet room during weekend nights, make sure to ask for one facing the interior.

"More than you might expect"

8.0

Indeed, if this is a two star hotel, then definitely one of the best I've ever stayed in. Elegant, stylish, comfortable; what is more, very close to the Plaza Mayor, also a few steps from a big food store open until late at night and other amenities you might need in Valladolid. Definitely recommendable.

"three star but a must"

8.0

Stopped here for two nights in a party of four. Two rooms next to each other. Great price an location. The car park is a very short walk and is secure. The rooms are very clean and the reception is very helpful. The WiFi is free but is quite weak in the rooms so be prepared to go down to the reception for a better signal. All in all......we had a great two nights stay.

"Bland but clean and central"

8.0

Hotel Roma doesn't really merit 4 stars but 3 would be unfair - it's really a 3½ star hotel! This time I stayed on my own, whereas the previous time, 5 years ago, I was travelling with my wife. On that occasion, everything about the hotel was better. The room was bigger, the staff seemed more friendly, there was more of a buzz about the place and the breakfasts were better. OK, they probably gave me a smaller room because I was alone this time but it was still a double and if I had ended up in that room with my wife, neither of us would have been happy. The breakfasts now are OK but nothing to write home about: breads, croissants, muffins, a couple of cereals, coffee, tea, fruit juice, sometimes yoghurt and that was pretty much it. The staff are still friendly but not overtly so - they open up after you speak to them whereas before you were welcomed and spoken to before you spoke to them. I'm sure the economic crisis in Spain has a lot to do with the change I noticed. However, in its favour are its great location (right in the centre of the city, very near the Plaza Mayor) and the price - it's now not a very expensive hotel. And it's clean. Hence my star rating. Rooms on the front of the hotel can be quite noisy late into the night at the weekends so if a quite night is what you want, get a room at the back.

"Well located, nice and quiet place"

8.0

The hotel is very well located, the staff is attentive, the rooms are clean and comfortable. My wife, my daughter (five years old) and I were very satisfied with the hotel. Every important place is very close (reachable by walking) to the hotel. Valladolid is a beautiful city, it has a lot of pretty places to know and if you have a good place to get after a long day of walking or to rest at the middle of the day is very important for a family with small kids. I really do recommend the hotel and of course the city.

"Central location"

6.0

I chose this hotel for its location and was not sorry when we arrived. Although it is situated on a pedestrian street, you are allowed to drive along this street in order to drop off your luggage. We pulled to the side and parked in front of the church to do this. Our room was somewhat small, but it was clean, adequate for our needs and very reasonably priced. The hotel offers parking for a fee, but we were able to find street parking nearby. We were able to walk to all the sights we wanted to visit.

"Great location, ok for an overnight stop"

6.0

This hotel is located close to the centre of Valladolid in very agreeable surroundings next to a church. It's about 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor. We are a mature couple and were on our way back to Gijon to take the ferry to Saint Nazaire, France. The hotel is accessed via a pedestrian area. We used their parking which is on the 4th lower floor of a car park close by, with access by special key - parking expensive as often the case for Spain at about €16 overnight ! It was convenient though. Staff were generally friendly. The room was reasonably furnished and A/C ok. Breakfast (which was € 3.50 extra) was simple but ok. The toiletries in our room were rather poor and the room did not feature a balcony as stated on the Booking.Com reservation page. The free wifi did not work very well and it took several hours to get an IP address both on my mobile 'phone and laptop; afterwards a connection at 11b and so slow as to be practically unusable. We did not eat our evening meal in the hotel's restaurant which we found expensive at about €25 pp. There didn't seem to be anybody else using it. It was though practically the only place in Valladolid town centre offering an evening menu. We toured essentially the whole town centre that evening (Plaza Mayor/cathedral) and only found a couple of places with menus which were expensive although most of the restaurants were geared up for tapas and raciones – but that would have been an expensive way to eat there. Perhaps I am moaning too much but one really had the impression of the town still trying to live out a pre 2008 financial crisis position as there was none of the "crisis menus" or cheaper menu prices observed in other Spanish cities such as Gijon, Salamanca, Avila and Madrid, also visited on this trip. We ended up at a restaurant called Le Bistro (Teresa Gil 7, 47002 Valladolid) which served good quality food. We can recommend this hotel for its good value, we paid just over €50 for the room and parking, but I feel unable to mark it highly because of lack of attention to detail in some cases. Equally, our overall impression is that Valladolid is a quite expensive town to visit from a visitor's perspective.

"Atmospheric hotel in great location"

8.0

Stayed at Hotel Roma during April 2012. Had a double room with balcony overlooking the church and small square to he front. The hotel was very reasonably priced, and the breakfast was only 3 or 4 Euos. Room was well furnished and h room and indeed the entire hotel had a certain style to it that made it feel what I would describe as comfortable 'posh'. Few staff speak English, but that is certainly not a complaint, simply an observation. Parking is available at underground car park a few minutes from hotel for a small charge. Hotel patrons ar permitted to drive to door of hotel through pedestrian area to drop off luggage etc and from the will be directed to car park. I can also recommend the wonderful local cafe bar - Bar, close to the hotel. Full of locals of all ages and great for a light meal of just a drink including great atmosphere. Next time I am in Valladolid I will certainly frequent both Hotel Roma and Bar Molinero.

"Roma Hotel in Valladolid, Spain"

10.0

Charming, clean and friendly hotel. Couldn't be better situated for those who like to be close to the main town squares in Spain. I highly recommend friends to stay at Roma and also recommend it to those traveling in the area. Cheers!
