"Not what you would expect from a superior room"

Beds were clean linen and comforable , breakfast was very good

Whole place smelled , room was very dated and old, cobwebs , hairs in bathroom, bath old and stained, shower was useless, net curtains torn in 2 places, not of superior room standard, could hear everything from other rooms

"Belle adresse pour un séjour de 3/4 jours."

L'équipe est vraiment dispo à tout moment, y compris pour réserver un taxi à des étourdis avant leur départ. A conseiller le full English au petit-déjeuner, et un moment au calme dans le jardin (service jusqu'à 19 heures puis après 20 heures). L'équipe propose de réserver au Deerhound, pub et restaurant à cinq minutes à pied (15% de remise, on a testé). Deux arrêts de bus pour descendre à Saint-Peter ou partir dans l'ouest de Guernesey. Un conseil si vous êtes à pied : prendre le puffin pass, c'est une carte libre circulation (1.15£ le trajet par personne). Attention si vous logez au Chêne et si vous voulez sortir le soir : fin du service régulier 19h50, service de nuit 5€ en plus.

Le Chêne est une maison ancienne (1842) réhabilitée. On sait quand le locataire du dessus est réveillé. Évitez si possible la chambre 8 dont les fenêtres donnent sur le mur d'en face. L'aéroport est à dix minutes à pied mais ce n'est pas Roissy... c'est supportable.

Well laid out. Good choice of food from cold to hot. Very enjoyable. Would have preferred breakfast to start a little earlier, maybe 7.30am. Though no one objected to us arriving slightly early. It’s a problem having a ferry to catch.

The bed in our room was a real plus. King size and very comfortable. The room was let down by a TV that was right over the dressing table, on a rigid arm, so it couldn’t be folded back against the wall. The bath did need a good scrub. The shower was also really slow. I did mention the speed of the shower and was informed it was because the reservoirs were so low and pressure was down. If correct then forgiven. Out of their control. When I mentioned the TV the young lady said “I know I banged my head on it”.
