Hotel Villa Maria Pia

From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more willing to help. Nothing was a problem. The location was fab as it was much quieter than Amalfi and Positano, which were easily accessible by the local bus or water taxi. The room was large and spacious and clean, fresh towels daily and cleaned daily. The buffet style breakfast was vast with something for everyone, very fresh meats and fruits. we felt we were part of their home, not in a hotel. Massive bonus was the steps leading directly to sea ( no beach) but a jetty to jump from and climb out. Also, the water taxi can collect you from here.

Beautiful property. Nice folks. Great breakfast. We stayed in the junior suite. Got us the water taxi to Amalfi which was great fun. Will return someday.

The staff and facility were exceptional. Breakfast was very fresh and varied, my husband really liked the pancakes. The room has an excellent view and the grotto was very nice.

The location was not close to the areas that we were planning on visiting.

The family and staff at Hotel Villa Maria Pia were excelente and wonderful. We especially enjoyed swimming in the cave right below the villa. I recommend taking the walk to the marina and enjoying the scenery there as well. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Lovely traditional rooms and decor. Great views from rooms and bar. Staff extremely helpful and always happy to shuttle us to and from Praiano centre.

This hotel beat our expectations. The rooms had such a great view. Nello and Julia were very helpful with anything we needed. The location was excellent for getting to see the smalfi coast.

Had a great stay at Hotel Villa Maria Pia. The hotel is right on the water, so there are beautiful views of the ocean and coastline whilst eating breakfast. Quiet and relaxing area, but also there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which made it very easy to travel to Amalfi or Positano (or around Praiano if you don’t want to climb stairs). The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when our aircon wasn’t working, they fixed it straight away. The breakfast each morning was good and had enough variety. We would recommend this hotel to everyone as we had a wonderful stay.

We had 4 nights at the Villa Marie Pia in Praiano. This is a family run hotel and it was a very pleasant stay. We deliberately chose to stay in Praiano as it is about half way between Amalfi & Positano and is quiet. You can get to either of these towns by bus, which leaves outside the hotel, taxi or water taxi which is weather dependent. Alternatively, you can rent one of the hotel’s electric scooters. They are surprisingly zippy and easily carry two. Breakfast was good and our room (Junior Suite with sea views) was large enough and had a terrace with two sun beds. The elevator takes you down from reception to -4 and then it was 50 stairs down to our room. All in all - a good stay.
