CLEAN BRILLIANT LOCATION REASONABLE PRICE COMFORTABLE BEDS QUIET ROOMS DESPITE BUSY STREETS
Excellent location (on the harbour front, great for buses and ferries), great views of the harbour if you get the right room, very clean, friendly and efficient customer service. The showers could use some updating and the water pressure on some days was poor, but neither of these things ruined our stay.
We had no electricity for 4 hours - we sat in the dark with no air con. We could not make dinner so had to go out for dinner. The problem was fixed by a very kind and helpful receptionist but this was not her job to do as she is not an electrician. We checked out at 3.30am in the morning. We wanted to wait in the reception area for our airport transfer but the receptionist (different from the kind one mentioned above) told us to wait out on the street. I was with my mum (aged 66 and has mobility problems) and my niece (aged 10). We did not feel safe so I advised them to sit on the stairs but they were then shouted at by another guest and ordered to get off the stairs. When I asked the guest to stop shouting at my mum she starting shouting and swearing at me. The receptionist was present the whole time but did not do anything. When I asked him why he did not ask the guest to stop being abusive he just shrugged his shoulders. I asked him again and he got angry with my and walked back into the hotel. Our transfer was late so my mum, niece and I were out on the street for about an hour. We felt very unsafe. This was all avoidable as we should have been allowed to wait in the reception for our airport transfer.
The hotel is in a great location with a view of Valletta (if you are lucky enough to get a room on the right side, which we weren’t) and is very close to local shops, restaurants and bus stops heading in either direction. The room had very comfortable beds, very effective air conditioning and a fridge. There is also a gym on site. The staff were friendly and accommodating, however certain aspects of the room needed a bit of TLC- wallpaper was peeling off and and some superficial cracks were visible in the wall- nothing major. We would definitely recommend.

The location is great but our room was above a nightclub and it was impossible to sleep. The first night we were there the music stopped at 4.00am then we had to listen to the noise of the staff cleaning up. Same for the next three nights with the noise ending a little earlier. Hotel staff were great and tried their best but the noise was unacceptable.
Fantastic value for money, good sized room and high quality of cleanliness and facilities such as air-con and great rooftop terrace. Really good location for the bus or ferry into Valletta or trips elsewhere around the island.
