Uavoyage Khreschatyk Apartments

A nice appartment in a art nouveau building on Khreschatyk street. 5th floor, OK view, no annoying noise from the street. Be aware that you have to pay cash on arrival.

The property was very clean and a great location, I would highly recommend the owner was very friendly and she took care of all my travel arrangements to and from the airport.

The communication with the apartment owner was excellent prior to arriving. They also arranged for someone to meet us at the airport and take us to the apartment (about 25km from the airport). On arrival at the apartment we were met and the keys handed over and everything explained, and all our questions answered. The apartments themselves were very clean and had all the things we would need and more including a dish washer. The apartments are very central in Kiev next to Independence Square which has a shopping centre beneath including a supermarket. All 2 minutes walk from the apartments. There is a key fob to get in and out of the apartments and a lift (we were on the 6th floor). The only slight issue was the lift which can only take 3 people at a push and the stairs can’t be used as they are gated off on each floor. This was a relatively minor point though and the positives far outweighed this. Overall a very good experience.

Overall was good, except you need to know a few things before making a choice to stay here: 1. Location of your place may change . I booked an appointment on Kreschatik street, ended up on Sofievskaya street 2. There is no concierge, have to arrange a key pick up with the office othervuse you will be lost especially if you don’t have local phone 3. Company is dealing with the local bank, which often having problems with your credit card interactions, and you may end up having a conversation about pre- payment at the moment of check in . They will ask for cash , and you may need to spend time to get it to the rep. Unnecessary waste of time. 4. Appointment does not fave toiletries: shsmpoo, conditioner etc, no coffee or tea available 5. Non- smoking appointment may smell with smoke very haevily. 6. The only wonderful part was location with the view of Maidan Of Independence.

Well my staying in the apartment in Kiev was good, big room clean, close to the city center,that was nice.

I liked the apartment and location was good but internet was very bad. I had a problem with the bank blocking my charge card and got it straightened out but by then she only wanted cash. Had to leave Kiev 6 days early as I got caught up in a dirty police scam and had to pay big dollars just to get released and get out of the country. Be careful of any strange woman U might meet-U will get caught up in a false charge by dirty cops!!!
