"Magical experience"

They picked up us at the village and we starts jeep ride. Tent with desert view simply gorgeous! Great jeep ride with sunset wiew. Delicious typical dinner: Arabic bread, hummus, rice with chicken, salad and vegetable soups. Abundant breakfast. Absolutely recommended to live a magical experience.

"Come for the Jeep tour, not the camp."

6.0

the Jeep tour we had was excellent. The dinner and music in the evening was also done well. The people who worked at the camp clearly wanted people to get a taste for bedouin culture.

This isnt our first time to Wadi Rum. We have stayed elsewhere before and wanted to try a new camp, specifically since this one promised hot water and electricity. To start, the check in process felt a little odd. You arrive and are ushered into the owners office for what feels like a shake down. It isn’t of course, but just feels a little uncomfortable. The camp itself runs on solar, so our power stopped working at 8.30pm (once the dinner and music ended). We also had no hot water, which was disappointing. Overall, the camp isn’t the best, which is unfortunate, because it could be with a little more investment. The jeep tour itself is very well done. I would come back for the tour, but not the camp.

"Great"

We stayed two nights, one at the camp and one in the cave. The location of the camp is amazing! The food was good. Especially the kofte lunch that was made on a campfire by Jalal was very tasty! The hike we did in the morning to the top of a mountain was great, we got an amazing view of the desert and even saw Saudi Arabia. The jeep tour was a lot of fun! It wasn't busy so we were the only 2 people on the tour. We had a nice seat at the roof of the jeep, which was great fun!

The drain of the shower did not work properly. We showered at night and in the morning the water was still there. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, if it's windy the roof will will make a lot of flapping noises.

I had the room with private bathroom and It was really good. Yeah a few beetles bugs etc but we were in the desert so I expected it. The bathroom was bigger than the one I had in Aqaba 😂. The Jeep Tour was really fun. I recommend it.

Some more coat hooks would be great and maybe a little night stand. But overall I liked it.

The people were great... though we couldn't see all the sites with the limited time we had, Mosaab was able to take us to several of the sites we were hoping to see. The sunset, though we thought would be blocked by the scattered clouds, turned out to be magnificent!!! We got the double rooms with the pyruvate bath and large windows

No locks with a key for the individual tent rooms like ours. Also, the power was cut off in the morning and we couldn't charge our phones.. and lights were out so we couldn't shower in the dark bathroom. Only other complaint is that the jeep guide could have been better at handing our camera for pictures at the Big Rock Arch... since we had to leave one with him while we climbed up to the Arch. We did manage to catch a magical moment with a rainbow like reflection of the sun off of the scattered clouds! I would recommend this place for value!

"Could be so much better"

7.0

We stayed for 2 nights. The scenery around the camp is fantastic. Sitting on the tent veranda at night and looking at the million stars is a unique experience. Dinner was good, but you have to like vegetables and chicken, as there is no options. It was cosy around the outdoor campfire, and the music and dancing made for a fun evening. The communal spirit with other guests were really nice, and we made some new friends. We had booked a sunset camel ride with the camp. It was a great experience. Just watch out for the young, obnoxious camel. Our guide was very entertaining and took good care of us. It was a unique experience that we are glad that we did, but it did have some shortcomings.

It is a camp. Do not expect luxury. No glamping in sight. Our tent had a private bathroom. The water is supplied from a tank on the roof. There is a shower, but preassure is very low, and the water is only one temperature (luke warm). There is a huge open gap in the wall between the tent and the bathroom. Expect small roommates and the occasional ant in the bed. Pillows are tiny and very hard. There is no aircondition in the tents. It was +30 C when we went to bed, both outside and inside the tent. There is no wifi. You arrive and park your car at the office, at the entrance to the protected desert area. Expect alot of waiting around, as they round up guests to fill up the pickups to drive you to the camp. We waited around 2 hours at our arrival, and information was not great. There is nothing to do around the camp, so make sure to book activities for the days you are staying. We had booked a full day jeep tour. Overall it was fine, and the lunch stop in the desert where the guides cooked food, was nice. We did not make it to all the sights advertised as they changed the intinerary based on what people have booked before and after the tour. The guides, although friendly, only offer limited information. The biggest concern here was a walk through a small canyon for which they offered no information other than "see you on the other side". This little trek included walking through deep sand and rock climbing a 20 meter near vertical ascend in +40 degree heat. Some participants had to be lifted/pushed up by other members of the tour. There was no turning around, as the jeep with the guides had already driven off to the meeting point. The trek is pretty, but could be dangerous to someone who is not physically up for it. A few participants ended up with scrapes.
