Château - Hôtel Le Sallay

What a pleasure to stay in a chateau. Beautiful restoration. I enclose a photograph which I took and would love to know what the hotel makes of the strange lights in the sky, which I did not see when I took the photo…? My wife took a photo at the same time, independently and the same light effect is present on her Samsung image….

The pool area was lovely and the restaurant food was tasty.

The room was a little cool and the furniture was not quite right - the TV was above the fire. There should be a large sofa where you can sit.

Zeer goed ontbijt, kader is prachtig, maar ongezellig. Aangeboden diner s avonds bestond uit een keuze menu met voor-, hoofd-, en nagerecht voor 42€ of 2 plats voor 35€ en van elke plat kon je kiezen uit 2 mogelijkheden. …

De badkamer, is oud modisch en te donker. Aangeboden diner ‘s avonds werd pas tegen de middag op de dag van aankomst door gemaild met de vraag op voorhand je keuzes door te geven, hetgeen als reizende op dat moment niet evident is. Keuze bestond uit 2 plats per gang en kwaliteit was ok, maar niet top.

Prachtige locatie. Ruime kamer, Prima bedden, Goed restaurant. Ontbijt met voldoende keuze.

Bij het betreden van de kamer een muffe lucht (hoge mate van vochtigheid en schimmellucht).

Quiet and relaxed vibe. Pleasant breakfast. Would certainly recommend as a stop off.

Our room (one of the studios separate to the main hotel) had a musty smell, that might bother some people - we got used to it fairly quickly. Our room was also connected (via a locked door) to the next door toilet - so we could hear other guests using the bathroom (I placed a rolled towel at the base of the door). It is relatively basic, but functional - just don’t expect the same kind of 4* experience that you would get in an urban setting.

Studio dans les dépendances ne devrait pas être classé 4 étoiles , les équipements ne le justifient pas . ( literie moyenne , pas de tête de lit , volets qui ne ferment pas complètement , fermeture cassée , fenêtres et porte d’entrée sans occultation pour la nuit ..) on reste sur un studio avec le cachet de l’ancien pas entretenu ) Terrasse extérieure avec petit salon devant l’annexe ( dans laquelle il y a plusieurs logements ) ,utilisable par tous , malheureusement pour nous jusqu’à plus de 2h du matin par certains … la nuit ne fut pas calme ! Doit être exceptionnel je l’espère ! Petit déjeuner inférieur à un 4 étoiles

Amabilité et qualité de service du personnel bonne cuisine chambre propre rien à redire
