Ndiza Lodge and Cabanas

Super schöne Unterkunft mit einer tollen Lage und sehr netten Staff. Wäscheservice lief einwandfrei und super schnell. Frühstück auf der Terasse mit traumhaften Ausblick.

Great location for our requirements. Clean comfortable accomodation. Friendly helpfull staff. No issues during our enjoyable stay.

Nothing to dislike

The lodge is a bit out of the way, in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The downside is that we had to take the car to go into town, especially at night, to avoid issues with hippos (we did see a mom and babies while driving back from dinner). Fabulous view from the breakfast area. The common areas are wonderful, clean, with lots of wood accents and lots of cozy seating options. Beautiful grounds, with lots of plants and with many species of frogs visible at night (one species is rare and endangered, a treat for us to see). We had a family unit, with two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, as well as a nice-sized living room. There were braai facilities outside our door, and a pool (which we did not use). The property is gated, and we received a remote for the gate along with the keys. There was a parking spot right in front of our unit, reserved for us. Good breakfast, but slow service -- not a problem unless you have to leave early for an activity. It would be useful to prioritize those groups that have an activity to get their food done first.

One interaction with the staff was a bit strange: we had pre-booked a trip to see turtles, and upon arrival, we were told that the tides had changed and all the trips were canceled. Since tide tables are usually published in advance, that sounded strange. The good news is that the tides returned to normal (whatever that means) and we were able to go on the trip. Another issue we faced was being asked to pay quite a bit more for a trip (other than the turtle one, and we were asked by the tour operator). When we told the operator that they had quoted a lower price to Ndiza (which Ndiza in turn had told us), the operator adjusted the tour price. I am not sure how there was a miscommunication between Ndiza and the tour operator, but I appreciated their willingness to honor the promised price.

Das Haupthaus mit dem Ausblick und dem Pool, sowie dem Frühstück haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Gawie und seine Katze Kittycat waren super Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten viel Platz, bequeme Betten und eine gut ausgestattete Küche.

Das Mobiliar und die Ausstattung in den Zimmern war schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Das hat unseren Aufenthalt ein wenig getrübt. Vor den frei herumlaufenden Affen muss man sich in Acht nehmen.

Beautiful bar/view deck area. Honest bar is great. The pools are maintained extremely well. Management outstanding. Cabanas are extremely spacious with a nice private braai area and car parking.

Central but secluded at the same time. Views from the deck were exceptional. Gawie and the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
