The View Agadir

Location

We stayed at The View Agadir and were disappointed with how our experience compared to what was promised at the time of booking. Our stay coincided with a large celebration and we were assured that all signature services and facilities would remain fully available despite a large group staying at the hotel. In reality, this was not the case. Room service was not operating, the pool bar was closed, and dining options were significantly restricted. We were also told we could not eat in certain areas due to the presence of the group, which meant our choices were limited in a way that was not communicated beforehand. When we raised these issues, the hotel response did not reflect our actual experience. Had we been given accurate information in advance, we would have cancelled our stay.

Amazing hotel right at the beach promenade surrounded by many restaurants and shops. Every staffmember we met was extremely nice and helpful and made the guests feel welcome. The pool and garden are beautiful, they offer plenty of comfortable sunbeds. There is a private beach club right on the other side of the promenade with a restaurant/bar. The breakfast buffet as well as the pool restaurant and beach restaurant were amazing!

Had some trouble with our room at first and the cleaning service usually forgot some things when cleaning the room but everyone was very helpful all the time.

I stayed at the View overnight whilst in Agadir for business, the hotel is located on the beach in Agadir towards the Marina end. The hotel is fairly new (having previously been the ’Royal Atlas’ before covid) and has been fully refurbished with a modern stylish design and on-trend photogenic feel from the funky music paying in the (free) car park, to the laidback private area on the beach. Check in was quick and easy; the room was a good size (bigger that the standard size rooms at the similarly priced Sofitel’s further down the beach), nicely furnished, the balcony with comfortable seats was a nice spot to unwind in the evening. Good strong, fast Wi-Fi, large TV and electrical sockets plus both USB A and C sockets by the bed shows good attention to detail. Good sized bathroom with a nice hand/waterfall shower. Some complementary fruit waiting in the room which was a nice touch. Breakfast near the pool was good with a wide selection to choose from. I ate with my customers in the attached Buddha Bar, the entertainment, whilst not quite as polished as the more establish Marrakech venue, was still good fun, and the food was excellent. I didn’t have time to use the pool, but it looked nice and the gardeners deserve credit for the beautiful condition of the grounds. The one issue I had is that I was woken up at 7am by some random man walking through my bedroom; he did apologise and said he was hotel maintenance and would comeback later before making a rapid retreat back out of the room; he did seem genuinely surprised to see me, but even if the room was empty it should be good procedure to knock first just in case. On the other hand, I have no idea what maintenance he was expecting to do a 7am with no tools so the whole thing seemed very odd. I only lost an hour of sleep so no real harm done, but if it had been one of my female colleagues traveling alone, they would not have been so understanding of the situation.

Es gefällt uns bei jedem Aufenthalt sehr gut, dieses Mal war die Abendunterhaltung toll. Lateinamerikanische Künstler und das auch noch beim Sundowner am Strand, was will man mehr?

Da gibt es nichts!

Very nice pool area with perfect service. Gym facilities where excellent. Very friendly staff. Will absolutely come back!
