Waiheke Island Resort

we feel like we are not valued as guest. The unit was not clean. there was cockroach when we open the menu book. the floor is dusty. the furniture outdoor was in bad shape. Pillows were ripped- probably due to old age. I dont usually write reviews but the experience we had was bad that it will not be fair for other people if the resort will not know about this feedback.

Great place to stay

Four stars on average probabily speaks well for the most part ,that we would happy to stay again. The oven inside could have been cleaner ? the bench top had a burn from a hot pot which in hindsight could be blamed back on us, overall it was tidy and clean, and im not really expecting to get a call about the burnt bench top?

Good propert easy acess to buses and close to beach.

Nice place and fabulous views. We were in a property at the bottom of the complex which was a little disappointing as meant a real hike up a very steep hill to the amenities but on the whole, we had a nice stay. Restaurant was expensive so we didn’t eat here.

We loved the view and bird life area our villa. The villa was lovely, clean and warm.

We were upgraded from the Short Stay room to the Scenic Studio which was such a lovely start. Beautiful driveway and walk up to the resort. Check in and checkout super easy. The pool and deck area is lovely to sunbathe in. Our room was quite nice and comfortable. Only negative was the cleanliness which could be improved slightly. Some brown marks on the ceiling and dust bunnies hanging around, the cutlery and cups were a bit dusty and water stained. Overall though, the room was nice (could do with some modernising) and we loved the balcony.

This property has great views of the sea. Just beware there are many stairs to get to some units. Ours was 104 stairs to the restaurant, pool and restaurant. The restaurant food and service is excellent.

Was told we needed to pay a $25 late check out fee at 11am. Thought this was unnecessary and spoilt an otherwise pleasant experience. Staff could simply have reminded us at 10am that we needed to check out by 10am instead of waiting until 11am and then telling us about the charge.
