GALLE HERITAGE VILLA

Very stylish villa with only 4 suites. Antique furniture and art decor make this spacious house very cosy . There is even a shared kitchen u might be allowed to use . We could use the wash Maschine and a late check out was made possible. Staff goes the extra mile . Great quiet location , but central in the Fort area with plenty restaurants and great cafes . Fully recommend

Brilliant location, quiet at night, very large rooms and spotless

Oh wow, what a gorgeous old house! And an amazing location, just a skip and jump from Flag Rock. This was once a boutique stay managed by the Jetwing group, so it is restored to a very high standard. The rooms upstairs are enormous with a gorgeous terrace overlooking a courtyard below. Because the new managers are not providing any catering, the lovely communal areas (sitting and dining) are not really used, which is a shame. There is also an amazing kitchen that can be shared! But of all the places we visited, Galle has the MOST restaurants, so we didn't really use it, except for the fridge. It would be an amazing stay for a large group, when the communal areas could be taken advantage of.

The upstairs rooms are best. But I could not work out from their photos/description which were the upstairs rooms. When we arrived they told me I had booked a downstairs room, but fortunately were able to upgrade us. So do check with them when booking!

Stunning high ceilings, lovely furniture, quiet and great location

We arrived to the heritage Villa and were greeted with warmth and a welcome drink. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The villa itself is a beautiful restored heritage building which has four bedrooms., all en suite. We took the front ground floor room which had a 2 four poster beds and access out onto the front veranda. The room was beautiful. We also had to use of a really large kitchen which had an outlook on to an internal court yard. There is a huge open high ceiling entrance living room which is perfect to hang out in in the hot weather. Beyond the property you are located right towards the southern end of Galle fort. This area has perfect for access to the wall and there are ample restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Our whole experience staying at this heritage Villa was amazing and the staff were fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here it is such an intimate and private place yet you're in the heart of everything.

Everything was great

Amazing house. They take care of every decoration detail so you are transported back two centuries to the dutch colonial era. Breathtaking.

Common areas ( living, dinning) had no air conditioning, making most part of the villa unusable.

Providing breakfast would have been good.
