HL HOTEL Kota Bharu

As expected, its a budget hotel. So I don;t expect much but the location is very strategic.

The receptionist, Siti, was wonderful and helped me so much with transport to arrive and cross the Thai border! Over and above!! Rooms are basic but interesting.

A bit inconvenient that there are only stairs to go to the rooms (for a somewhat elderly person) with bags - but the fellow receptionist was right there!

Facilities

Next to a big shopping centre, so convenient to grab anything you need. If you need parking there should be no problem, since hotel is located in an industrial zone, so plenty parking around. Check in/out was quick and easy. Need to leave deposit for the room (50RM). Staff nice.

Note there is no lift, need tk use the stairs. AC worked very poorly. Bathroom has no window and is very small. No place foe ypur toiletries, no shower curtain so water spills everywhere. Room is rather small, but we stayed one night only, so wasn't too bad.
