Oscarpak Royal Hotel

2 days of the worst service I've ever experienced at any hotel. I have stayed at hotels in villages around Kumasi and they offer better service than this hotel. It is located in a village type remote area with no ready access to a taxi or any sort of entertainment. My request for a taxi (at the reception) went unheeded and I had to walk 20 minutes (on dusty untarred road) to the nearest main street to get one. The TV in my room did not work & when i reported it, was told nothing could be done about it. I sat at the restaurant (more like a dining area in an apartment) for 30 minutes without being acknowledged. I had to knock on the kitchen door to get one lady's attention. Excuse given was that she was the only one cooking and serving at the same time so I had to wait. To cut a long story short, I received my food 2 hours after I placed the order. The staff are unpolished, unprofessional and totally indifferent to guest needs. They are oblivious to the fact that they have an opportunity to make more money from tips if they offered better service. My impression is they could care less! Looks like somebody is making a weak attempt to convert a family house to meet hotel standards. Unfortunately it fell way short of even a poor hotel standard. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO AN ENEMY!!

Called up the hotel the day before arrival to confirm booking - really friendly & polite and they arranged for someone to meet us. When we got to Accra someone was waiting and took us straight to the hotel - very decent price.

This a small but good hotel. The staff is kind and always ready to help. I'm grateful for their kindness. The only weakness is it's some far from the center of Accra.

Upon receiving room late at night from a long flight from Germany towels were missing from room the lamps were missing the appropriate adapters. There was some dishonesty or just a lost in translation moment being charged for breakfast. Then hearing from another staff member that breakfast was included. Room is much too expensive better rooms can be found for better price. Too far from central Accra about an hour drive hotel taxi will charge you 25 cedi. Safe and clean environment hot water and A/C works which is very good.

The hotel is nice but somewhat interior in location. It is far from the centre of the city. The staff are nice but the room did not have any wardrobe to store clothes, etc. which was both a surprise and a disappointment. Othewise the stay was fine. The place is quite far from restaurants, etc. and the driver may struggle to locate this place as our drivers found it somewhat difficult. But the building is new and air conditioning works well. Internet did not work for some days and it did on others - erratic connection though.

Staff did a great job keeping me comfortable addressing my needs with meals and taxi service. Great location away from the traffic and walking distance from shops and places to eat. Oh yea, great price!

Stayed for about 2 week b/w Christmas 2011 and Jan. 2012. Had a fire incident on the top floor at about 4 am, the staff turned off the power supply and did not alert anybody of the fire as they tried to put it out. When we finally got to notice the fire, and ran out of the hotel room, we came back 3 hours later to find our room burglarized (as the fire did not spread beyond the top floor) with so many items stolen. The management/staff never showed any concern or even the commonest apology for all that happened...we know that replacement of lost items was not going to happen, but showing concern would have made a little difference. I lost my wrist watch, camera, smart phone, and some jewelries of my girlfriend.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant even tho short. I was picked up from the airport, served dinner by 10pm in line with my order, and was received by very friendly staff. I really enjoyed the the shower too...cleared my sinuses...lol On the whole, it certainly isn't the arabian tower but it is a very good hotel if you have a small budget

The hotel is very lovely and comfortable also neat, when next i come to Ghana i will come to OSCAR PAK ROYAL HOTEL,very convinient.
