Bellavista Suites

I have to say the room is absolutely beautiful at first look. It has a pool inside the room around bed a beautiful door to a Juliette balcony. However, it was a very uncomfortable stay because it was very damp. The sheets were damp every night going to bed they really need a dehumidifier to get rid of all the water down there. Perhaps it was because of the pool? And there was a very damp, almost sewer smell. And there was also a mirror that was not a fixed to the wall and behind it. It was all rusted and rotten. But I must say the staff were absolutely amazing. Every time I text to ask questions they text immediately. And breakfast was just fabulous on the rooftop terrace. The rooftop terrace was absolutely lovely , early morning . However, the pool was hot not cool water. Had the room Had a dehumidifier then it would’ve been a lot comfortable. Not to mention the clothes in our open luggage felt damp thereafter. Otherwise it is a beautiful room.

The breakfast is delicious, The morning breakfast staff and cleaning staff were very nice. The location is excellent.

I have never written a negative review because truthfully in all my travels over the years (I travel several times/year), I have never had such a negative experience. The management is terrible, we had an emergency and had to leave one night early even though we paid the last night. They refused to reimburse me, even though I gave 24 hours notice they said they cannot rebook the room because it’s locked in to booking.com. I asked Booking.com for a refund they said to contact the property. As I was leaving I witnessed a staff member at the door of my room telling a customer our room would be ready soon!! So they double booked the room after lying to me, and refused to reimburse even the parking we didn’t use on the last night. About the room-The head of the bed is about 12 inches from a pocket door (yes, crazy but the door to the room from the common area is a pocket door and you can hear everything!). You cannot take a proper shower because there’s only a bath.

Central location

Not enough shade on roof so breakfast was very hot. Breakfast was bought in from their sister hotel and each day seemed as if it was leftovers as was totally random and not what we had agreed on day one. No one present at the property so any issues ie (locked out of room) you have to wait for them to come from other hotel.

The place was in a great spot, and our room (king suite) had an incredible view from the balcony. The staff we very nice and accommodated anything we needed. Close to restaurants and right on the beach. Highly recommend this place for your stay in Monopoli.

Whilst we coped and did get some help from one of the staff when leaving, be mindful that no cars can enter the old city, so if you have hired a car getting your luggage to the B&B can be a challenge particular when it is very hot if you dont get a parking spot near the entrance to the old part of the town.

Beautiful B&B in an amazing location. Our room had a balcony with sea view which we would book again. The staff in the morning were attentive and extremely friendly. Rest of the contact is managed via WhatsApp which worked really well for us. They even sorted a boat trip for us after we messaged. The bed was extremely comfortable, nice and firm as we like it. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was varied each day and included an egg dish, grilled vegetables, fruit, yogurt, pastries, coffee and fresh juice. We made the most of the rooftop sun area, and were lucky enough to always have a lounger. Would highly recommend Bellavista and would book again.

As per all the other reviews, a shower would be perfect but the bath was so wide you could stand holding the shower head with no issues, and this would not stop us from booking again.

The view from our room and the roof top was exceptional! Truly phenomenal panoramic view/location! The breakfast on the roof top was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.

The room was warm, quite humid, but overall it was still a wonderful stay.

The loaction, the view, the room, it was a great place to be in the heart of Monopoli

The staff were not the best at communicating, they are def on Italian time even though its a tourist location, they do not answer the msgs after hours or toon early in morning - 9AM???, There are things in room that need Maintenace and need to be looked at. Toilet kept blocking. sink kept overfilling. Make sure to bring spray for mosquitos. So bad! The pool in room was cleaned the second day we were there after we already had a swim we found them cleaning our room with a hose & they told us they had to clean it as it was dirty. Shouldn't that be something you do before guests check in. No toilet upstairs in rooftop pool. You need to return to your room if you need bathroom. Breakfast was a strange selection of cold meats not something we want for breakfast. The croissants were stale and old. So we didn't have breakfast again after that. The shower is dangerous as glass door comes out and don't event attempt if you a little average in weight its too tight. They said they had someone to meet us to help with bags when we arrived, they sent a young girl on her own with no trolley or anything. This girl also took a photo of our CC could have been a random from street for all we knew. Very stange setup for Admin. Not sure if they are 4 star but should be no more than a 3 star if that! The location, view & room saves them but needs alot of work. Too expensive for what is given, its very run down.
