There could be some social area, at least with some sofas. Once the reception closes there are no common areas, just the rooms.

Sehr gute Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe der Hallgrímskirkja, daher findet man das Hotel auch ohne Stadtplan/Google maps😉. Vom Flughafen Keflavik fährt man mit dem Flightbus zum zentralen Busbahnhof, dort steigt man in einen anderen Bus um, der einen nach 2 - 3 Minuten an die Kirche fährt, von dort ist es nur noch 1 Minute zu Fuss. Wer wenig Gepäck hat und sich auskennt, kann auch vom Zentralbusbahnhof laufen (ca. 15 Min. max.). Gemütlich eingerichtet. Einfache, aber freundliche Zimmer. Einfaches Frühstück (kein grossartiges Buffet), aber lecker und ausreichend. Ich war zum 2. Mal dort und es bleibt meine erste Wahl (für das nächste Mal😉). Hotels, die ca. 20 Minuten ausserhalb liegen, sind eben doch mit einem längeren (langweiligen) Fussweg verbunden und das macht insbesondere bei schlechtem Wetter keinen Spass. Ich war allerdings ohne Auto dort, aber es gibt eine (begrenzte) Anzahl Parkplätze. Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad sind ebenfalls in Ordnung, es gibt ein Waschbecken im Zimmer, man muss also nur WC und Dusche teilen. Gepäckaufbewahrung bis zum Abflug kein Problem.

Alles in Ordnung! Für Menschen, die mit viel Gepäck reisen: Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl.

A localização do Guesthouse é fenomenal, de frente para a igreja principal da cidade a Hallgrímskirkja e próximo ao centrinho. Ponto negativo que não tem elevador mas acredito que não tenha pelo formato do local. Quarto de tamanho ótimo de acordo com o reservado (com banheiro privativo), limpeza no quarto tem que pagar a parte, como ficamos 2 dias somente não solicitamos. Café da manhã simples. Gostamos da estadia pelo tempo que ficamos e pela excelente localização.

O ponto do elevador, mas acho que por causa da estrutura do local que não tem.

The location was wonderful! We had a great view of the church from our room and were able to easily enjoy the NYE fireworks and festivities. Short walk from all the restaurants and shops in downtown Reykjavik and we had no issues getting free parking in their lot.

The cars driving by could get noisy at night. Hot water in the bathroom smelled like sulfur, which we learned is common in the city but we had not expected that. Bed comfort was just okay.

It was in the perfect location. Close to all the popular sites!
