Crown and Castle

Perfect place for a short break. Orford is a charming village - we loved the caste, the Quay and the Pump Street Bakery - and the Crown and Castle is a jewel of a place. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great place for foodies: our dinners and breakfasts were excellent.

The breakfast was exceptional, given the Covid restrictions the offering was wonderfully comprehensive, served to your table with friendly style, and of high quality.

Had a lovely time! Accommodation and food were great and we felt very safe.

Hotel was beautiful there’s a lovely open fire in the bar and the staff are very attentive. The food was lovely as was the breakfast.If you want a quiet break in a beautiful village you cant fault it.

Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable with an amazing view. Food was excellent, they use fresh local produce. Breakfast was lovely. The restaurant would benefit from some background music. The pillows were foam filled and not very comfortable. The bathroom in our room really needs redecorating and the skirting boards were dirty, and the outside woodwork and windows of the hotel need redecorating.

We had best room with a terrace overlooking the castle keep.Having such great weather we totally relaxed and enjoyed a bottle of wine in the evening whilst gazing at the stars.Service was impeccable and staff very polite.Lots to visit in the area.

Great overnight stay... will be coming back for dinner this time... menu looks superb
