Swimming pool was not clean enough to use

The place was self catering. The kitchen was well kitted out and the BBQ was a good size for our large family. The childrens cubby house was very good. The swimming pool was nice and clean, tennis court with racquets and balls supplied. Two sets of golf clubs were also supplied for the 9 hole golf course and well used. All ages had great fun with the facilities. Even the weather was perfect.

The only criticism, which was minor, was that there were quite a lot of bindi weeds close to the house, resulting in some of the younger children getting prickles in their feet.

The location was good, only a few minutes drive to Pokolbin and some lovely restaurants and wineries. The Manor was lovely overlooking the dam. Hot air balloons floating over the house in the mornings. Private although quite rough golf course, great for fun and practicing. Fire place inside with big comfy lounge.

A bonus would be some basic household items like cooking spray, paper towel, maybe a couple of sauces. Due to the Hunter Valley not having a local grocery store you'd have to drive back to Cessnock if you don't take everything you need. Just a thought but otherwise we loved everything.

Great place to stay with family and friends. Wonderful location in the Hunter Valley.

Great that the family could be all together on the one property and amazing we had it all to ourselves! Beds were so comfy and heating great as it was a cold weekend

The Homestead is a little tired and the kitchen needs a Reno and a paint inside
