Hotel Estrella

Need to clarify why I was disappointed with Hotel Estrella. The hotel is OK I guess, very average for a Managua hotel but I booked it through Hotwire at a rate well beyond what this hotel is worth. Hotwire, for those who don't know, is an app/site that lets you pick the price and then it usually gives you a really great hotel for that rate. This is the first time I've been disappointed with what Hotwire gave me. I had high expectations as for the same price I have stayed at the Hilton, Intercontinental or Barcelo Managua. But Hotel Estrella isn't nearly at those hotel's level. So if you spend $40-$45 for this hotel it is ok, but for $50+ you can do much better and for the $80+ I paid this time I was expecting not to have a room that badly needs paint, water stains repaired and dirty old curtains and a barely functioning shower.

The hotel was nice, clean, and close to everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful with us and our limited Spanish. Breakfast was included every day and was delicious- Gallo pinto, eggs, fruit. Something a little different every day. Even though it is on busy street, there is a park like setting inside the hotel area. If you are a bird watcher, there are plenty to see. We will definitely stay there again. Nice pool area too, we had all to ourselves.

Four stars for Hotel Estrella. The rooms are spacious, super clean (especially the bathroom which is a huge bonus), and safe. The rooms have flat-screen televisions, a fridge (with complementary beverages), and most importantly, air conditioners that get the job done! For the most part, we were treated with the utmost courtesy; the housekeeping staff gladly helped us with ancillary needs and the breakfast chef and kitchen staff consistently delighted our palates with hearty, delicious, authentic Nicaraguan breakfast treats including but limited to fluffy scrambled eggs, chicken, pork, rice and beans, fresh fruit and natural juices to boot.

Hotel Estrella is a fanily oriented hotel. Very friendly staff. Food is good and rooms are clean. It is located only 20 minutws away from Managua Intl Airport and. They have shuttle buses that can pick you up and drop you off from the airport. Our flight was delayed 2 hrs they were able to find out and be there when we arrived. They have security so only guests abs staff is able to access the premisses so you don't have to worry about your car. Breakfast is included and its very good.

I recently stayed at Hotel Estrella. It is my second time there and in both occasions, the staff has been wonderful. My two year old son loved the pool and the food was exquisite. The rooms were clean, AC worked well and Wifi, too. I love that is a family owned hotel. Thank you for your service. We will be back!

Just like Most Reviewers, This is not a bad Hotel the rooms are fairly size we had a 4 twin bed room the air was cold and the Wi-Fi was ok the price was ok 84 bucks for 4 people with full all you can eat free b-fast is not bad the staff is friendly and very reasonable with the guests the pool is small but it beats the scorching heat of Managua and that was enough for us, Don't pay the price they want for the ride to the airport they ask us for 40 dollars when we step outside and flag a regular street taxy they charged us 60 Cordoba that is equal to $2.19 USD much better we gave the Taxy driver a 100 Cordoba bill and it was like he hit the lotto and even carried the luggage for us at the airport

Like another reviewer said, rooms are dark and ac is cool. The rooms aren't fancy by any means but they are clean and well kept. Nice little pool and patio with a restaurant by the pool. I like the big hotel chains for consistency but this is one I'd bring the wife and kids to. I haven't eaten anything other than breakfast here yet the service was very good, They had decent coffee, That's a Big deal to me. My photo is a view from my breakfast table.

The staff was very nice. the rooms were average, and the view wasn't the best from our room, but it didn't matter, was only here for a night before my flight in the morning. the breakfast was very good and all you can eat. i felt like it might have been overpriced, but not by much.

Very quiet, with a new A/C that's very quiet. The room was dark at night so we had no trouble zonking out. The bed is hard but we like it like that. The whole place was fairly clean and the staff was always helpful. There are some large meeting rooms by the pool. The food was reasonable.

I just returned from a week stay at the Hotel Estrella. This is a nice midrange priced hotel. The staff were kind and professional. The food was good and everyone stayed healthy. There seem to be different types of rooms. The bathroom is small but had great hot water. There is construction I front of the hotel right now, but by midsummer there should be a bridge across from the hotel. I would stay here again
