Weather

We had high expectations for Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa, Relais & Châteaux, but unfortunately the experience did not come close to the standards a property of this reputation should uphold. Despite a confirmed appointment for a couples massage at 5:15 p.m., the reservation was nowhere to be found when we arrived — leaving us with apologies instead of the service we were promised. The rest of our stay followed the same disappointing pattern: attempts to move us from our lunch table without explanation, a long delay before our dinner order was even taken, confusion in the kitchen resulting in the wrong dish, and basic details like a handbag stand being taken away mid-meal. Even the room itself felt below par, with worn and partially torn bathrobes — a detail unthinkable in a true five-star setting. It’s clear that this hotel aspires to the level of service associated with the Relais & Châteaux name, but at present it still has a long way to go before it truly earns it.
