Comfort Hotel Grand Central

Hôtel au centre même d’Oslo, au calme absolu, bien que situé au sein de la gare centrale. Petite chambre très bien conçue et grande salle d eau. Petit déjeuner somptueux ! Consigne à bagages très flexible .

Nice older hotel. The floors are uneven at times so people need to be aware of that. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.

Where to begin…I would compare it to a step above a hostel. First, the room was the narrowest, skinniest room I’ve ever seen. Very odd layout and felt very cramped, like they’re trying to fit as many rooms into this building. We would pass other rooms right next to us that were way more spacious. The bathroom light can’t be turned off and turns off automatically. This meant the bright light would shine during the night and that was a pain. The bed was comparable to a pull out sofa. Very cheap and uncomfortable. My review gets 2 stars only because the location is great for train travel and to get to central touristy things. BUT one night, a drunk girl had an altercation with the police and we could not sleep because of how loud and chaotic the city square was. You could also hear the city transit metros squeaking through the night on the train tracks. Basically if you’re a light sleeper (like me) do not stay here. Also I am a pretty simple traveler, but I asked for an additional pillow and caught some sass from the receptionist. And then there’s no conditioner or lotion, which maybe thats an amenity I’m used to, but yeah we had to buy extra toiletries. The breakfast was pretty good and I appreciated how long breakfast lasted, making it easy to sleep in and still make it. Also house keeping is not included until you’ve stayed there for 4 nights. Like come on, I think trash disposal should be included everyday. Anyways, really wouldn’t recommend unless you’re in a pinch and traveling with just a backpack.

Perfect spot to stay near Oslo S for an early train departure (Norway in a Nutshell @ 6:25am). Quick and easy self-check in, small but comfortable rooms. Breakfast opened at 6:00 and we were in a hurry, so they gave us to-go boxes to take on the train. I had seen others who had pre-ordered something the night before? Will stay again!

It was a bit of a walk to the room, but overall that wasn't an issue. The room was quiet, and the hotel was located right by the train station, which was very convenient. The breakfast was modest. For a one-night stay, the hotel was good value for money.

Convenience, the breakfast, the room set-up with good reading light and blackout curtains, modern bathroom, no waste eg environmentally friendly

The carpets need to be upgraded, that’s all!
