Courtyard by Marriott Scottsdale Salt River

Christina at the front desk was fantastic! She accommodated our request for an early check-in. Also the staff at the market restaurant where so friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay at this property again when we return to Scottsdale.

I had to check in for my four-night stay at 1am, due to a flight delay, so I showed ID, got my key card, and went right on up to my room. I found the room clean and comfortable, and I do appreciate the Venmo code for the cleaning staff. However, when I went to scan the code, it said I needed to use a business Venmo in order to tip, which I have never encountered before. So, I left cash. Just a heads up that the Venmo might not work, and please don't forget the cleaning staff! There was a calendar of events on paper in the room, outlining different things to do on site. But, I had questions, and wondered why there was not some kind of orientation to this hotel and all it had to offer. In the end, I did not do any of the activities offered, and it was a little too cold to go in the pool. I can't speak to the amenities at this hotel. The Bistro was a problem. The first day of my stay, I got a pastry which was stale. I didn't say anything because I was pressed for time and had a ride coming to pick me up, so I chalked it up to a glitch. The next day, I got a breakfast sandwich, but the English muffin was actually frozen. They didn't toast it at all, the cheese was a cold slab, only the egg was cooked. So gross. So, I sent it back and they fixed it, but meh. It was also $21 for a breakfast sandwich and cup of Starbucks drip coffee, so the expectation is that it would be decent. On the third day, I asked Kristina at the desk if there were a breakfast place that was walkable, and she asked me about the Bistro, so I told her of my Bistro adventures, She comped me a breakfast sandwich, which was kind of her. It was then that she mentioned that there is some kind of check-in process for guests that I completely missed because I checked in at 1am. I guess, and I'm not clear on this, that they explain the activities etc. to guests. Well, I missed all of it. There was a card game as well, that I noticed as I was speaking with Kristina. I played it and won some Marriott points, which I do appreciate. So, shout out to Kristina at the desk; she really understands hospitality, and I thank her! But I had to knock off a star for the Bistro and for the confusion about check-in, which I'm still a little unclear on. The hotel is convenient to the Phoenix Airport.

Kristina did great at the welcome counter! Beth made our day at the Bistro!! Excellent service. Friendly. Respectful. 5-stars all the way!!

Room was great and Kristina at the front desk was amazing and helpful. She made sure she did everything she could to make me feel welcomed and a valued customer. She is a great team member.

Great hotel that was spotlessly clean, well managed, and staff were all helpful and pleasant. I agree with others that the nightly parking fee is silly since there is plenty of parking, but otherwise this was a great stay!

Analyze at the Bistro was so kind and helpful! The breakfast is delicious and there are many places to sit comfortably!!

I had a great experience here top-notch hotel. Beth and Dustin were awesome.

Holden was our server behind the counter. He did an excellent job. We had a large family gathering and he worked to get everyone their drinks and food as quickly as possible with a smile.

Holton was an amazing server for our group!! He handled our very large group with a smile and very efficient!! He has an awesome personality! Great at his job.
