Very prompt and friendly staff, absolutely central location near the railway station and good breakfast.

The room was quite congested, the amenities were very basic.

Opladed is the upmarket bit of Leverkusen- a very nice suberb which feels very safe and friendly. There is a pedestrianised shopping area (most shops being on 2 roads which cross each other) and this has a cosy feel to it rather than a big city atmosphere. There is a good variety of restaurants and other shops. Nostalgically (for us English) there is a large Woolworths! The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Opladen train (& bus) station. Trains connect to Cologne (going South) and Wupppertal (North). If you want a train to Dusseldorf or Duisburg (e.g. for the Lanschaftspark in my case) you can get the 201 bus (every 20 mins) to the other station in central Leverkusen (Mitte). The hotel room was very nice, with a desk & chair provided for reading etc. For the breakfast buffet they had a nice variety of seeded bread rolls and meats as well as the usual cereals/juices/cheeses.

It wasn't obvious where to get milk for the breakfast tea. Accross the room there was a large heavy jug of it on the cereals table, but I felt rather incongruous trying to pour from that into a small teacup! I can only assume that they don't cater for us silly English who like cow-juice in our tea!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean, bathroom was good with powerful shower. Beds were very comfortable, and there were many quirky touches that we liked. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. We were there for football at Bay Arena (Bayer Leverkusen) and the location and transport to the ground (about 4kms) was excellent. Free bus to stadium and back from Opladen. Train to Cologne in 15 mins. Great hotel, great location and we would definitely recommend.

Easy to find. Very close to some clubs. Has garage and does not cost a fortune.
