Eigentlich hat mir an der Unterkunft nichts gefallen. Die Lage war in Ordnung, Parkplätze genug vorhanden.

Das Hotel ist ziemlich heruntergekommen. Typisch amerikanischer Motel-Charme mit Zimmern an einem Gang gelegen, so dass jeder ins Zimmer schauen kann, wenn die Vorhänge nicht zugezogen sind. Empfangspersonal war wenig motiviert und nicht sehr freundlich. Beim check-out am Folgetag um 8.00Uhr war der Empfang nicht besetzt.

I like the country feel of this place. It was nice to be able to sit outside of the room and enjoy the nice weather without looking at just a parking lot. The location was great, not far from our destination. The staff was nice, the bed was clean and comfortable and the shower was clean. I also liked that I had a real key instead of a card, and that I was able to leave it in a drop box. We didn't use the pool, but it looked pretty clean. Overall it was a decent stay. We were only there for one night. I would stay there again for a night or two if I had to, but probably not any longer than that.

I didn't like the stinky smell of the room or the gross feeling of the carpet. I would not recommend walking barefoot on those things. It would be a major improvement to change out the carpets that look, feel, and smell like they've been there since 1910. That's probably where the musty, stale smell comes from. Someone complained in a previous review about the staff peeking in the windows. I didn't have that issue, but when they brought me extra washcloths, the girl knocked on the window and then walked over to the door. I don't know if maybe it's because they don't have peepholes on the doors, but they want you to know its them and not a stranger knocking on the door. Still a little odd.. The AC was very loud and obnoxious too.

The location was good.

Discovered on the first night that my room had a leak. There was water coming from the ceiling onto the sink counters and all over the floor. All of my personal belongings that were on the counter got wet as I was out to dinner at the time this started. The next morning I notified management. They said they would contact maintenance so I was expecting the issue to be fixed or at least be given another room. They said they were completely booked so I could not get another room. The manager also said “it’s just water” and offered no other solution to the problem. I just thought that was unprofessional and not very good customer service. I ended up using the ice bucket to collect the “water” and had to dump it out several times to contain the mess. Just a terrible experience
