Ibersol Playa Dorada

The hotel itself was lovely and the pictures definitely do it justice. The rooms were nice and cleaned daily. The hotel was right near the beautiful beach and the promenade goes for miles. We hired bikes from the hotel at 12 euros per bike all day, which was great! There is no transfer from Barcelona airport to the hotel, check all taxi prices as ours increased by the time we got there! The area, Coma Ruga I believe is a holiday destination for the Spanish. Not one single person we came across was English. None of the menus in the local restaurants were in English, so we had to translate. Not many people speak English. We were shocked and I understand we are in Spain but it’s not a holiday destination to be honest. We would not visit this area again. The entertainment was all in Spanish so we was just sat there. Many of the hotel staff cannot speak English either, my daughter is pretty good at Spanish so she had to speak for us. We went jet skiing which you can find at the port, is was great! The food was really nice and something different every day so no complaints there. As other reviews have mentioned there is no labels on the food and none of the staff speak English so you have to just try it if it’s not obvious what it is. All in all I would not visit again.

Beware of bugs! There were bugs in the rooms, not only in the room itself but also on the towels we were using. In addition, the buffet had no labels indicating what each dish was or whether it contained any allergens. In my opinion, this should be mandatory. As a result, someone with allergies like me ended up suffering a serious reaction and spent a horrible night with stomach issues. This is unacceptable and something I intend to pursue through legal channels, as people with severe allergies could even die from an anaphylactic shock. For a hotel of this category, it leaves a lot to be desired. And be careful with the dinner as well. It felt more like a basic lunch service than a proper dinner. There were only stews, pasta, and rice available. The only vegetable option was a dish of cauliflower. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I never give negative reviews and do not excpect too much with 3 star accommodation but people should be aware of a few negative aspects. On arrival the room given wasn't ready, rubbish in a bag, towels, bed sheets etc crumpled on the bed - but we're given different room immediately 😀. The rooms are spacious and clean, with clean towels given when needed. Staff are polite, reception staff can speak English but other staff eg bar staff don't. There are no labels on food therefore it limited what we would eat...wasn't obvious what the dishes were. There is inconsistency in what the bar staff will serve you on the all inclusive package- no one seems to know what is and isn't included. The service in the bar is slow with usually one person serving. This is the only hotel that we have said we wouldn't return to, due to the non- labelling of food and inconsistency in the bar.

Excellent location in Playa Dorada, just 30 minutes from Barcelona. Clean rooms and facilities. Nice, helpful and professional staff. The check-in experience was above average. The atmosphere was above the average of 3 star hotel and for a proper price. Surely will repeat

Yo había estado en el pasado varias veces en este hotel, me gusta la ubicacion la tranquilidad de la zona.

Algunos de los empleados del comedor les gusta llamar la atención en plan policia,otros muy bien. Al entrar al hotel hay en algunos momentos olor a desague zona de baños. Personal de recepción muy bien.
