Giardino Lago

Die Speisen im Restaurant Lago sind ein Erlebnis. Zu jeder Zeit sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Wir hatten ein geschmackvoll eingerichtetes, etwas kleines Zimmer mit einer sehr grosszügigen Terrasse.

Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht sehr gross, aber alle Speisen sind von sehr guter Qualität - für unsere Begriffe völlig ausreichend.

Es ist alles perfekt gewesen, Personal, Zimmer,Frühstück, Lage, Fahrräder kostenlos zu leihen, E-Fahrzeug laden ohne zusätzliche Kosten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

The property is beautifully located, with stunning views over the lake and direct access to the lungolago, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. With only a few rooms, the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, which is what I personally look for in a hotel. The staff were excellent: professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout my stay. I travelled with my cat, and when the room was first cleaned, they kindly provided an extra water bowl and a pet blanket! Thoughtful gesture which I greatly appreciated I didn’t use some of the available facilities, such as the bikes, so I can’t comment on those.

One downside was the restaurant being closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday. While this may be understandable for a boutique property, it still felt unusual — even a single closure day during high season would have stood out. Given the hotel’s relatively remote location, it made dining a bit inconvenient for guests without easy access to nearby restaurants. That said, the reception staff were able to prepare small snacks and drinks on request during those days, which was appreciated. It’s also apparent that Giardino places most of its emphasis on the Ascona location, which might explain the more scaled-back services here.
