Butterfly Home Danube

My parents and I had a wonderful stay here. The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring the area. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent as well.

The Butterfly is conveniently located very close to the Danube, steps from several places to eat and across street to the Great Market. It was easy to get around in the area. The breakfast in the morning was very nice: meat, cheese, breads, fruits, and, of course, coffee. The staff was attentive and kept plenty of options. The room was clean and sufficiently large, as was the separate bathroom with a shower and tub.

When we arrived with our suitcases there were no people or signs to tell us where to go. The building is very large and has a lot of rooms which are not part of the Butterfly. Our directions stated that they were on the 2nd floor and they also told us where to find the lift, but it was not working. There was nothing to do but to go up the wide stairs to the end floor. We did not know that there was a mezzanine at the top of the first flight. This was a long, winding stairway, as in a a very old building with high ceilings. We had come to Budapest from a conference, so our suitcases were packed...about 50 lbs. each. Did I mention that I am 81? Dragging the suitcases up what amounted to 3 stories of stairway was extremely difficult and I almost gave it up and suggest to my daughter that we go somewhere else. I was very unhappy the first night...and exhausted. There are several hallways in the building and we wandered around a bit before we found the one that would take us to the rooms. Perhaps signs on the first floor and in between the 1st and 2nd floors would be helpful for others. The only other things was the shower, which is in the bathtub. The hose had come off of the spigot connector and it didn't seem to want to stay connected. There are most certainly some people who would have many more complaints than this, but neither of us are very demanding. At the very least, people should somehow know that the lift may or may not be working.

Die Lage und der Blick auf die Brücke super toll. We ist einen Wohngemeinschaft Extra Zimmer zu schlafen und Bad im Zimmer ansonst einen Große Wohnung mit Gemeinschaftsräumen, Wenig Privatsphäre.

Das Zimmer ist klein für drei Personen vor allem das Badezimmer Löcher im Boden man hat das Gefühl das die Dusche und das WC bei der kleinsten Bewegung durchbricht, und beim Mieter unterhalb im Zimmer landet. Es ist ein Hexler im Bad also keinen vollwertige Toilette. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer nur ein Kühler für Wein. Am Gang ( Zugang zum Zimmer ) stabelt sich die Wäsche was nicht sehr einladend ist.

Decent WiFi and location. There is NOTHING ELSE I can say positive!

Communication from hosts SUCKS!! TERRIBLE, LATE AND INSUFFICIENT COMMUNICATION. WHY WAIT UNTIL THE DAY OF MY TRAVEL TO SEND DETAILS/INSTRUCTIONS?, OWNER BASICALLY ACCUSED ME OF STEALING FROM THE BREAKFAST AREA REFRIGERATOR!! BREAKFAST COFFEE WAS COLD!! Entry into the property SUCKS! WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE MY FINGERPRINT AND I HAD TO KICK THE DOOR OPEN AT LEAST THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!! ENTRY FROM STREET IS AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION B/C OF CONSTRUCTION. HOW ABOUT TELLING ME IN ADVANCE?!? Availability of WORKING electrical outlets and TV SUCKS!! NO MORE THAN HALF OF THE OUTLETS WORKED AND THE TV NEVER DID!! NOISY LOCATION!! AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK. HOST/STAFF COMMUNICATION WAS PITIFUL!! DID NOT ANSWER CALLS (13+), HUNG UP OR GOT DROPPED, USELESS!!

Location is excellent, with an awesome view from the balcony. Room was spacious and nice. Breakfast was limited but very convenient. Price was great. Tons of eating options within 5-10 minutes walking.

The process to get in was a bit tricky -- you should definitely watch the tutorial video. The entire process for both keypads was explained in the email, but the "key" symbol didn't show up in the email, so that made it hard to figure out at first. (But the video showed it, so watch the video.) The shower was disappointing -- not much water pressure, and the temperature seemed to fluctuate whenever anyone in the building was using any water.

Ubicación excepcional. Cama cómoda. Habitación y baño espacioso. Personal muy amable, nos ofrecieron dejar las valijas antes del check in y después del check out. Las indicaciones para llegar e ingresar fueron claras.

Había varias habitaciones, la que me tocó, la puerta daba directo a la sala donde se desayuna y a primera hora se escuchaba el ruido de quienes iban temprano a desayunar, realmente fue difícil descansar. Al lado de la heladera había una bola de pelos con los cual condicionó mucho nuestro concepto de limpieza hacia el lugar. El alojamiento es un edificio viejo en el 3er piso y el ascensor no da confianza para nada. En la bañera hay como una especie de manguera con ducha la cual era incómoda para bañarse. Así mismo en el baño había olor a humedad.

Balkon war für das Zimmer nicht vorhanden , obwohl er aufgeführt war , Badtüre klemmt , Frühstück vielleicht ein bißchen spät
